Starting February 2026, Wadiz operates a single fee plan combining a 12% service usage fee with a payment settlement processing fee ( 4% + $99 for makers outside Korea).

Makers launching their first project — meaning makers with no history of a successfully funded project — receive a 30% discount on the service usage fee. This discount applies equally to both domestic (Korean) and international payment projects.

The Wadiz service usage fee covers the core functionality needed to run a project, along with AI-powered operational support.

This isn't simply a platform usage charge — it bundles six services, including AI-based story review and automatic project launch, among others:

News Updates CRM	Sends supporters a notification whenever a maker publishes a News Update, helping makers actively share news and events.

First-time makers get a 30% discount on the service fee

Makers with no prior successfully funded project on Wadiz receive a 30% discount on the service usage fee.

• Period: Through December 31, 2026.

0% fee for makers launching a global project alongside Korea.

Makers who open a project in both Korea and overseas markets at the same time pay 0% Wadiz service usage fee on payments from outside Korea.

• Eligibility: Applies when reward shipping covers both Korea and overseas destinations.

• How to check: Project creation → Maker Studio → Shipping Type → select worldwide shipping, to see whether the promotional discount has been applied.

• Period: Through December 31, 2026.

2. Payment Settlement Processing Fee

The payment settlement processing fee covers the payment gateway fee incurred on both domestic and international payments, along with various costs involved in settlement processing. Rates differ for Korean makers versus makers based outside Korea.

Q. Does the single fee plan also apply to makers launching their very first project?

A. Yes — the single fee plan applies to every project submitted in Maker Studio on or after February 2, 2026. First-time makers, however, receive a 30% discount on the 12% service usage fee, lowering their effective rate (through December 31, 2026). Whether the discount has been applied can be checked directly in Maker Studio > Service Fee menu.

Q. How are fees settled if a project fails to reach its funding goal?

A. If a project fails, Wadiz generally doesn't charge platform or settlement fees. Only separately purchased advertising or add-on services are settled and billed on their own.

Q. How are fees handled for simple change-of-mind refunds requested after delivery?

A. Under Korea's e-commerce law, a fee refund policy applies to simple change-of-mind refund requests made within 7 days of delivery completion. The exact basis depends on the project's submission date:
