[Transparency Report] May 2023 Transparency Report

Wadiz has been issuing monthly transparency reports since August 2020. A transparency report is a report containing the details of reports submitted by Wadiz members and the results of actions taken in response to them, and is structured primarily around funding report submission data. Through this report, Wadiz transparently discloses actual data on how it responds to project issues, creating a platform environment that members can use with greater trust and confidence.

1. Report Submission Data

• The number of reports submitted is measured based on the number of reports received through the  ‘Report’ feature on the right side of the funding project page, and if there are multiple reports for a single project, they are counted as multiple according to the number of reporters. 
• The types of reports submitted include ‘Intellectual Property Rights Infringement’, ‘False Information in Project Story’, ‘Distribution of Same Product Through Other Channels’, ‘Community Policy Violation’, etc. These are reasons that contradict the purpose of funding or undermine the order of the Wadiz community.
• Report submission data is a key indicator showing potential risks that can directly or indirectly cause harm and dissatisfaction among supporters.

2. Number of Reported Projects

• ‘Number of reported projects’ refers to the number of projects that have received one or more reports, and even if multiple reports are submitted, if the target project is the same, it is counted as one.
• The proportion of reported projects compared to open projects is a key indicator representing the proportion of projects among all projects that can cause harm and dissatisfaction to supporters.

3. Open Scheduled Report Rate

• ‘Open Scheduled’ refers to a pre-release service that allows supporters to preview the project story before the official funding starts.
  On the Open Scheduled project page, a notification request feature is provided for when the official funding opens.
• Reports at the Open Scheduled stage serve as an early risk detection function before the official funding opening, and through this, proactive problem resolution is possible before the official funding opens.

4. Statistics by Category of Reported Projects

• This is categorized data of projects that received reports in the current month.
• In this month, 11 out of a total of 17 project categories received reports.

5. Report Project Processing Results

• All reports that meet the reporting requirements are being verified for accuracy.
• For projects where issues are confirmed, follow-up actions are taken in accordance with the funding report policy.
• During the verification process, Wadiz requests clarification from the maker through official communication when necessary, and if needed, publishes the reported facts and clarification request details to supporters through news updates.

• Processing Completed
  As a result of verifying the accuracy of reports that meet the reporting requirements, if they are determined to have ‘issues’ based on policy and follow-up procedures such as funding refunds, inappropriate content deletion, and project cancellation are processed, or if they meet the reporting requirements and the verification results are determined to have ‘no issues’ based on policy and the case is closed without further action.
• Processing In Progress
  When verification is in progress for reports that meet the reporting requirements, or when follow-up procedures are in progress after being determined to have 'issues' based on policy.
• Processing Unnecessary
  Cases of 'Reports Not Meeting Requirements' or 'Previously Concluded Issues', where no follow-up procedures were conducted.

⁕ Reports Not Meeting Requirements: Reports that fail to meet the reporting requirements or lack supporting evidence to substantiate the report, making it difficult to proceed with follow-up actions.

⁕ Previously Concluded Issues: Cases where the reporting requirements are met, but based on the current month, verification has already been completed in the past and determined to have 'no issues' and closed, or necessary measures have been completed through 'project cancellation' or 'funding refund', making follow-up procedures unnecessary.

6. Service Monitoring Data

• Wadiz is constantly striving to build and protect a safe and reliable funding ecosystem for service users.
  
• Service Monitoring Data is the number of service monitoring activities and the number of actions taken by the Trust & Safety Team.
• In May, a total of 2,929 monitoring activities were conducted through service monitoring, of which 38 cases underwent action.

• Types of Wadiz Service Monitoring

⁕ Distribution Through Other Channels Monitoring: If the reward of a funding project is sold through other channels or funding is conducted for the same product before rewards are shipped, it is included in the monitoring target for distribution of the same product through other channels.

⁕ Misuse of Updates Monitoring: If information unrelated to the original purpose of Updates (such as promotion or links to other sales channels) is posted in Updates, it is included in the monitoring target for misuse of Updates.

⁕ Funding Achievement Rate Manipulation Monitoring : If the maker or a third party with interest in the maker intentionally participates in funding to increase the project’s funding achievement rate, it is included in the monitoring target for achievement rate abuse.

⁕ Story False Information Monitoring: If suspected cases of false information in the project story are identified, it is included in the monitoring target for story false information monitoring.
