[Transparency Report] February 2024 Transparency Report

Wadiz has been publishing monthly transparency reports since August 2020. A transparency report is a document that contains reported issues submitted by Wadiz members and the resulting actions taken, and is structured around funding report data. Through this report, we aim to transparently disclose actual data on how Wadiz responds to project issues, thereby building a platform environment where members can trust and use with greater confidence.

1. Report Reception Data

• The number of reports received is measured based on reports submitted through the ‘Report’ feature on the right side of the funding project page , and when there are multiple reports for a single project, they are counted in multiples according to the number of reporters. 
• The type of reports received includes ‘intellectual property infringement’, ‘false information in story’, ‘distribution of identical products through other channels’, ‘community policy violation’, etc. These are reasons that contradict the purpose of funding or harm the order of the Wadiz community.
• Report reception data is a key indicator showing potential risks that could directly or indirectly cause supporter damage and complaints.

2. Number of Reported Projects

• ‘Number of reported projects’ refers to the number of projects that have received one or more reports, and even if multiple reports are submitted, if the subject of the reports is the same project, it is counted as one.
• The proportion of reported projects compared to open projects is a key indicator that means the proportion of projects that could cause supporter damage and complaints among all projects.

3. Coming Soon Report Ratio

• ‘Coming Soon’ refers to a pre-release service that allows supporters to preview the project story before the official funding begins.
  The Coming Soon project page provides a notification request feature when the main funding opens.
• Reports at the Coming Soon stage serve as a function to detect risks before official project launch, enabling proactive problem resolution before official funding opens. 

4. Report Statistics by Project Category

• This is classification data by category of projects that received reports in the current month.
• In the current month, 13 categories received reports out of a total of 22 project main categories.

5. Reported Project Processing Results

• All reports received that meet reporting requirements undergo fact-checking.
• In cases where issues are confirmed, follow-up measures are taken according to funding report policy.
• During the fact-checking process, if a maker's statement is needed, Wadiz requests submission through official documents, and if necessary, discloses the reported facts and statement request details to supporters through news updates.

• Processing Complete
  As a result of fact-checking reports that meet reporting requirements, when it is determined to have ‘issues’ based on policy and follow-up procedures such as refund of funding, deletion of inappropriate content, or project cancellation are conducted, or when it is determined to have ‘no issues’ based on policy and is closed without further procedures
• Processing In Progress
  When fact-checking is in progress for reports that meet reporting requirements, or follow-up procedures are in progress after being determined to have 'issues' based on policy
• Processing Not Required
  Cases of 'reports not meeting requirements' or 'previously concluded issues', where follow-up procedures were not conducted

⁕ Reports not meeting requirements : Report submissions where requirements are not met or lack sufficient supporting evidence to proceed with follow-up procedures

⁕ Previously concluded issues : Issues that meet reporting requirements but, based on the current month, have already undergone fact-checking in the past and were concluded as 'no issues', or where necessary measures have been completed through 'project cancellation' or 'refund of funding', making further procedures unnecessary

6. Service Monitoring Data

• Wadiz is constantly striving to build and protect a safe funding ecosystem that service users can trust.
  
• Service monitoring data is the number of service monitoring activities and action data conducted by the Trust & Safety Team.
• In February, a total of 1,797 monitoring activities were conducted through service monitoring, and among these, 218 cases underwent action.

• Types of Wadiz Service Monitoring

⁕ Monitoring of identical product distribution through other channels : When funding project rewards are sold through other channels with identical products or funding collection occurs before rewards are sent, it is included in the monitoring targets for identical product distribution through other channels.

⁕ Monitoring of news updates for unauthorized use : When information unrelated to the original purpose of project progress (promotion of other sales channels, link guidance, etc.) is posted in news updates, it is included in the monitoring targets for news updates unauthorized use.

⁕ Monitoring of funding achievement rate manipulation: When a maker or a third party with a related interest intentionally participates in funding to increase the project's funding achievement rate, it is included in the monitoring targets for achievement rate abuse.

⁕ Monitoring of story false information : When suspicious circumstances of false information in the project story are confirmed, it is included in the monitoring targets for story false information.
