Wadiz Young Makers "1.7 Billion Won in Sales in One Month... Rapid Growth Through Marketing Support"
- From mass production funding for products to acquiring highly engaged customers who provide proactive feedback, young makers leveraging crowdfunding
- Significant growth thanks to maker support including advertising know-how that increases crowdfunding success rates and data-driven marketing
Young makers using Wadiz advertising services are increasing, raising crowdfunding performance and accelerating sales growth. This is the result of small business owners and startups with innovative ideas and technology but relatively low brand awareness using Wadiz ads to significantly improve marketing efficiency.
Premium beam projector brand ZUS launched home beam projectors through Wadiz pre-order crowdfunding in June, achieving 1.7 billion won in sales in just one month. This achieved 346,844% of the target, utilizing targeted marketing and segmented advertising services by inflow channels. ZUS not only achieved a 933% advertising return on ad spend (ROAS) but also secured approximately 8,000 new customers.
Yeon-seo Yoo (30), CEO of Perfect Our Company (the company behind ZUS), said “Since Wadiz crowdfunding was our first challenge, initially our goal was to secure production funds for 1,000 units, but by using Wadiz's advertising service, we experienced explosive sales growth in a J-curve during the project period” and added “We achieved a significant result of 1.7 billion won in just one month and were able to increase brand awareness in a short period.”
After successful fundraising, ZUS plans to launch new products and aims to become the number one beam projector brand in Korea. CEO Yoo stated “By using Wadiz's advertising service, we increased product exposure to target customers at a low cost, which led to sales conversion” and added “Through the crowdfunding system, we were able to secure production funds for products and operate inventory efficiently, allowing us to take on challenges without burden.”
Beauty device specialist brand EOA achieved 1.3 billion won, which is 26,092% of the target, through Wadiz crowdfunding conducted over the month of June. As a new brand new to crowdfunding, the company used Wadiz's advertising service to increase awareness and combined marketing such as project exposure and push ads focused on highly engaged beauty consumers, resulting in this achievement. The advertising return on ad spend reached an impressive 905%.
Sung-min Shin (37), CEO of Nextreep Co., Ltd., which operates EOA, said “Since beauty devices (HIFU Pulcera) are currently priced at over 2 million won, we developed the product focusing solely on technology, setting aside brand premium pricing,” and stated “After product development, we were at a loss when trying to enter online and offline distribution, but we successfully took the first step through Wadiz crowdfunding.”
CEO Shin added “With the help of Wadiz's advertising manager, from the pre-launch promotional period of the project, we intensively utilized advertising products with high visibility to new customers, and the biggest achievement was obtaining highly engaged consumers as 'supporters' while using marketing budgets efficiently.”
A Wadiz representative stated “Cases of young makers lacking crowdfunding success know-how using Wadiz's advertising service and achieving rapid growth are increasingly noticeable” and added “We will continue to expand an ecosystem where we can grow together through comprehensive support from crowdfunding for early-stage companies and small business owners to channel expansion such as store listings.”
Meanwhile, Wadiz crowdfunding is a service that raises funds from a large number of people online and is gaining attention as it allows companies to secure production funds and new customers. In particular, it has established itself as a '0th distribution channel' centered on early-stage companies that lack funds for mass production or need new customer acquisition and marketing.
