Wadiz, a crowdfunding platform, announced that it successfully held a ’Beauty Brand Storefront Entry Seminar’ co-hosted with Amazon at SETEC in Yangjae-dong, Seoul on the 11th.
The event was prepared to provide a foundation for K-Beauty brands to grow into global brands, while also supporting the expansion of sales channels.
Wadiz and Amazon mutually support successful beauty brands' expansion to Amazon and Amazon-listed brands' crowdfunding challenges.
The event was held with approximately 200 emerging beauty brands in attendance. Amazon storefront managers from the United States and Japan shared the latest beauty trends in their respective countries, followed by a Wadiz beauty specialist PD sharing Wadiz crowdfunding success strategies and K-Beauty trends.
Additionally, managers were matched to participants to provide consulting benefits for future Wadiz and Amazon storefront entry.
Kim Mi-ri, Part Leader of Wadiz Beauty Team, said “I hope this event provided an opportunity for emerging beauty brands that started with Wadiz crowdfunding and are continuing to grow to leap into global brands,” and “Going forward, we will not spare various support so that Wadiz beauty makers can thrive in the global market.”
Meanwhile, the Wadiz beauty category is continuously growing centered on emerging brands. Transaction volume in the first half of this year grew 11% compared to the previous year. In particular, 38% of new products first introduced to the market by emerging brands through Wadiz crowdfunding, and the platform is attracting attention as a gateway sought by emerging beauty brands with low brand awareness seeking to establish sales channels and having difficulty securing distribution networks.
