Wadiz (CEO Hye-sung Shin, www.wadiz.kr) is strengthening its role as a 'springboard' for K-beauty brands to enter the global market, based on the success of its own brand 'Wadiz Edition.'
The 'Melanin Wrapping Balm' project recently showcased by Wadiz achieved 10,900% of its target goal and garnered significant interest. In particular, 92.4% of pre-notification subscribers converted to actual purchases, recording a high conversion rate.
Additionally, 87% of supporters who participated in this project were existing Wadiz users, confirming a loyal supporter base. Global payments also occurred from countries including the United States and Japan, showing an expansion of consumer demand beyond domestic markets to overseas consumers.
Wadiz attributes the success to its accumulated data within the platform and a planning structure based on supporter feedback. The company analyzed data from various beauty projects to identify unmet consumer needs and reflected them in the product planning stage through collaboration with manufacturers.
Building on this success, Wadiz plans to accelerate its support for overseas expansion of K-consumer goods brands including K-beauty. In particular, it is pursuing linkages with local distribution and logistics networks, focusing on the Japanese market, where demand for K-content and K-beauty is expanding. The company has established a policy to strengthen its support system so that makers who have verified product competitiveness in the domestic market can expand into the global market.
A Wadiz representative stated, "The success of Wadiz Edition is a case that demonstrates how we can verify market potential through data-driven planning and subsequently connect it to global distribution expansion," and added, "Wadiz will continue to provide support so that domestic makers have a practical springboard for entering the global market."
Meanwhile, Wadiz plans to expand collaborations with manufacturers and indie brands that possess technological capabilities and growth potential, and will continue to introduce global expansion support programs that leverage data.
