Wadiz, a lifestyle design crowdfunding platform, successfully concluded the 'Maker Day' held on the 19th at the Daegu Creative Innovation Economic Center, targeting startup founders and creators as aspiring makers.
As part of expanding the startup ecosystem in Daegu, this event was organized to raise awareness of the funding service where anyone with a new idea or technological capability can challenge. It was held as part of 'Wadiz School,' Wadiz Funding's educational service that has continued since 2014, with the aim of expanding the education that had been concentrated in the metropolitan area to regions across the country.
Co-hosted with Daegu Creative Economic Innovation Center, the event saw the pre-registered quota completely filled, demonstrating the strong entrepreneurial enthusiasm in the Daegu region. Approximately 210 aspiring makers including Daegu startups, small and medium enterprises, and creators preparing for funding attended.
Sharing know-how to boost funding success was provided, starting with introductory funding education, followed by brand story writing and detailed page creation techniques for initial customer acquisition. In particular, group consulting was conducted exclusively for teams that had applied for pre-event consulting to provide practical help in establishing funding directions.
Jang Min-young, team leader of Wadiz Maker Growth Planning Team, stated "We plan to expand Wadiz education and briefing sessions to regions nationwide" and further noted "Following this Daegu Maker Day, we will continue to discover more regional makers and provide opportunities to showcase attractive regional maker products and services across the nation through Wadiz."
