Wadiz announced it is partnering with Korea's leading beauty app 'Hwahae' to discover and support the growth of beauty brands.
This collaboration, under the concept of 'Launch on Wadiz and grow with Hwahae,' will open a special promotion for beauty makers on the funding platform, and plans to support sustainable growth in the saturated beauty market by sharing marketing expertise from a funding platform where new products are well-received and a beauty app used by 80% of Korean women aged 20-39.
Recently, Wadiz beauty funding donations reached 18 billion won, showing a 170% increase compared to the previous year. The number of supporters who participated in the funding also increased by 152% to 290,000. In particular, beauty funding is a high-loyalty category, and on average, supporters fund not just once but 3-6 times or more.
'Black Sugar Cookie' soap by CosmeChef, the number one all-time beauty funding project, raised a cumulative 800 million won as a single product and is now generating sales through continuous sales at the Wadiz Store. 'Idenel Altum Peptide Cream,' which raised the largest amount ever in a single project, succeeded in an average of 360 million won in funding per project and later held a re-funding at customer request.
What these have in common is that they solved customer pain points that existing products could not address. Due to the nature of the funding platform, these brands were chosen by customers who prioritize product functionality and value over brand recognition.
In the case of Hwahae, new brands that participated in the reviewer program showed high growth, with product sales increasing by 150% or more within a month, and the repurchase rate within 3 months averaged 54%, showing stable growth.
Leveraging this growth momentum, Wadiz and Hwahae have prepared a special promotion with various benefits. Through a product experience review program for Hwahae users and 1:1 consulting with Wadiz beauty specialists and Hwahae representatives, they will support various communication channels and methods to receive direct feedback and strengthen branding.
Additionally, Wadiz and Hwahae plan to hold a webinar on the 25th through YouTube Live with beauty experts, featuring analysis of successful brand cases that have grown on each platform and insights into the beauty industry.
