Wadiz has partnered with the Manufacturing Exchange Center, which has quality domestic factory infrastructure, to support aspiring makers who have ideas but face difficulties in mass-producing their products.
Wadiz, a lifestyle design funding platform, announced on the 18th that it will host the 'YIdea Contest' with the Manufacturing Exchange Center under the Korea Industrial Complex Corporation, supporting everything from factory matching to prototype development and funding success.
The Manufacturing Exchange Center is an organization operated by the Korea Industrial Complex Corporation that connects companies requiring product manufacturing with factories capable of producing them and provides consulting services for smooth manufacturing activities. Through this contest, both parties plan to support matching between makers seeking to develop innovative products and factories with strong technical capabilities.
Any maker with product ideas that can be produced in factories can participate, whether as an individual or business owner. In particular, it is expected to be a great opportunity for makers looking to upgrade existing products to find new domestic factories.
In particular, the top 10 selected teams will receive idea commercialization support consulting from professional consultants at the Manufacturing Exchange Center. Additionally, they will receive special benefits when entering Wadiz Store and Wadiz Space, including services worth 6 million won for funding success, 1:1 matching with funding experts, and distribution channel support after funding.
Selection criteria focus on three aspects: △feasibility △product novelty △production suitability. Applications can be submitted through the Wadiz website until the 29th with business plans or drawings. After announcing the final selected teams on June 13, individual factory matching, product development, and funding launch will proceed sequentially by the end of this year.
A Wadiz official stated, "This contest was organized to provide opportunities for aspiring makers who have ideas but face difficulties in the product manufacturing process," and added, "By leveraging the excellent infrastructure and expertise of the Manufacturing Exchange Center, we expect a new opportunity to emerge for developing and presenting innovative products through funding."
