Wadiz, a lifestyle design crowdfunding platform, successfully completed the first showcase of ‘wadiz NEXT BRAND’, jointly operated with its financial subsidiary Wadiz Finance and Partners, at ‘Wadiz Space’ in Seongsu-dong on the 30th, the company announced.
‘wadiz NEXT BRAND’ is a mutual growth support program that proactively discovers promising startups and SMEs to lead future lifestyles, and provides investment, loans, and other Wadiz infrastructure support.
The event began with presentations on the brand stories and growth potential of promising startups selected for ‘wadiz NEXT BRAND’, and was organized as a forum where approximately 30 participants, including Wadiz CEO Shin Hye-sung, Finance, IP, and Store business teams, and Lotte officials, explored strategic collaboration opportunities.
The first cohort selected for ‘wadiz NEXT BRAND’ includes △RainWorks △Gungseong-gwan Naju Gomtang △Crystal Walker △BearU △Beeple △210 edit. Six companies were selected based on a comprehensive evaluation of successful crowdfunding experience, product and service differentiation, and business growth strategies.
The selected companies receive comprehensive support for mutual growth with Wadiz, including investment and production loan support of up to 150 million won per team, product purchase from Wadiz Store, and IP commercialization support linked with Wadiz. Additionally, promotion support is provided through special exhibitions at Wadiz Space in Seongsu-dong and dedicated introduction pages on the Wadiz platform.
Ko Gang-sup, Executive Director of Wadiz Finance, said “This showcase is the first networking opportunity for the first cohort of ‘wadiz NEXT BRAND’ and various business divisions within Wadiz for future cooperation and support” and “By mobilizing all of Wadiz's business infrastructure, we will lead mutual growth with excellent makers who started with Wadiz”.
Meanwhile, Wadiz plans to fully launch support and cultivation projects for selected companies starting with this first ‘wadiz NEXT BRAND’ showcase, and is continuously accepting applications from excellent makers with the goal of selecting and holding a showcase for the second cohort in December this year.
