Wadiz Story’s Best-Seller: The “Image” Edition
How do you usually shop for clothes? Since fabric composition matters, you probably don’t start by filtering for “100% cotton…”—hardly anyone does. More often than not, you don’t buy something because you absolutely need it; instead, you spot a design that catches your eye while walking down the street, think “Huh?”, and end up buying it after some deliberation.
The same goes for reward-based funding—there are projects where visual content plays a crucial role. For these projects, how you arrange your photos and videos makes a huge difference. If you’re a maker who’s prepared visually stunning rewards—like eye-catching photos or videos that keep viewers coming back for more—be sure to focus on this “Images” guide!

01. Using Intro Images

Think about TV commercials for fashion, beauty, and perfume brands. In scenes brimming with cinematic beauty, models hold the product at its most flattering angle or use it in a way that looks like a fashion spread. Even without any words, that single image makes you think, “Wow… this is really beautiful!”
Let’s apply this principle to our campaign. Choose a striking, well-staged photo from your Rewards images and place it right at the top. When supporters see an eye-catching intro image, they’ll naturally think, “This looks good—I should take a closer look at the photo,” and scroll down.
You can also include a main caption.
If using just photos feels a bit plain, or if there’s a specific feature of the Rewards you want to highlight, adding a short caption—no more than two lines—can really tie everything together and make it look polished :)
02. Introducing Your Brand
Just as people walk into a clothing store after seeing clothes displayed outside and thinking, “That’s cute,” only to then take in the store’s overall atmosphere, this is your chance to introduce what makes your brand special to supporters drawn in by the intro image. Include an introduction—along with your brand logo—that conveys your brand’s concept and vibe.
For your brand’s fans, this can serve as a greeting like, “Hello, we’re here on wadiz!” And for those who aren’t fans but are familiar with your brand, it’s a great opportunity to highlight, “This is the identity our brand has always embodied.” If your brand changes its concept each season, feel free to mention what this season’s concept is.

03. Describing the Rewards
Now that you’ve captured attention with eye-catching images and introduced your brand, it’s time to go into detail about the Rewards. Here, too, it’s better to provide a short but impactful introduction rather than a long, drawn-out explanation. Instead of simply listing features, explain “why this Reward is special” or “why you should fund this Reward.”
Even if supporters are already half-convinced just by looking at the Rewards’ design and photos, there are still some who hesitate, thinking, “Hmm… should I participate in funding this or not?” This is where you play a little hard to get, emphasizing, “Our Rewards are this special! You’ll regret it if you don’t participate in funding it now!”
Using numbering and icons allows you to convey your message simply.
Combining the product’s features with icons makes it easy to understand, even with a brief description, right?

How about explaining just the key points in more detail?
The reasons why our Rewards are special... If we had to list them, there would be more than 10, but if we introduce all 10, supporters might get bored and click the “Back” button. Please provide a detailed explanation of just 3 or so key advantages that “set us apart from similar products.” When doing so, it’s best to make full use of photos and subheadings.

04. Showing Rewards Photos
Even though there are already plenty of rewards photos, why is there a separate section specifically for “Rewards Photos”? It means they’re that important! Please compile the photos and videos of the rewards that weren’t fully showcased earlier into a gallery-style display.
Arrange photos from a variety of angles.
For products where design is the main selling point, it’s better to show photos from various angles rather than describing every design detail in text—just like a lookbook or fashion spread you’d see online.

If the product comes in multiple sizes or designs, be sure to include this information at the bottom of the photos!
While it may be easy for you, the maker, to distinguish between sizes and colors, supporters encountering the Rewards for the first time may have trouble telling which color or size a particular product is. It’s a good idea to display the Rewards’ size, product name, and color in small text at the bottom.

Which image most closely resembles the actual product?
Photos taken in a studio or in natural sunlight may appear to have different color tones even when viewed on the same monitor. Please indicate which photo among the set most closely matches the actual product’s color.

05. Providing Detailed Reward Details
Now that you’ve covered all the features and benefits of the Rewards program, let’s move on to the essential information that customers need to know. This part shouldn’t be too difficult—it generally covers details like “dimensions,” “sizes,” and “specifications.” You might be wondering, “Shouldn’t I make the details as impressive as the earlier sections, using a variety of expressions?” Don’t worry—this is the section where your message comes across most clearly when you keep it concise and stick to the facts!

06. Make the Maker Introduction Special, Too!
Who created these amazing Rewards? It’s time for the “Maker Introduction”—a special section exclusive to wadiz. It’s a good idea to include a photo of the maker and a brief introduction. Since visual content is key, opt for stylish, natural-looking photos taken in their usual workspace or office—rather than stiff, passport-style shots—as this will also enhance your branding.

It’s also important to make good use of product photos.
When I meet successful makers, I often hear them say that nowhere else do supporters react to a Story with as much honesty and sincerity as they do on wadiz. That’s why it’s even more important to provide a variety of photos and videos—along with a well-crafted Story—that can answer supporters’ questions! But don’t worry too much—if you follow the writing guide we shared above step by step, you’ll be absolutely amazed by the results! We’re looking forward to the day your project gains recognition from a wide audience, starting with wadiz, and we’ll be cheering you on all the way from launch to success :-)
