What is an Encore Project?
An Encore Project refers to a 'pre-order' project where you offer products or services that were provided in a previously successful project.

1. What is an Encore Project?
Encore projects are classified as pre-orders.
- To run an Encore project, you must provide supporters with at least one of the following special benefits: domestic exclusivity, special composition, or limited edition.
Pre-order (Encore) projects are subject to E-Commerce Law.
- Notification documentation for remote sales business registration is required. (Notice on remote sales business registration and submission)
- Depending on the refund policy, you can request refunds for simple change of mind within 7 days after delivery completion, or request refunds due to defects within 3 months.

2. Funding VS Encore - Which project type should I choose?
You can distinguish between Funding and Encore based on the category-specific review criteria.
1) Fashion & Accessories, Home & Living
In this case, Encore projectsare possible.
- When there are improvements such as improving seams or tidying up stitching, but there are no new processing or design changes and it is reasonable to consider it the same product.
- When the design of clothing, shoes, or footwear is identical and only new sizes are added.
- You can run an Encore project even if the sizes introduced in previous funding are not included.
- Example) If you introduced a shirt in M size through previous funding, and the design is the same, you can introduce both M and L sizes as Encore projects. You can also introduce only L size as an Encore project.
- For reward items in Fashion & Accessories or Home & Living categories that do not fall under clothing, you can run an Encore project if the purpose is the same and the size changes within the margin of error.
- Example) I extended a mattress or sofa by 1mm.
- For quasi-drugs or safety-confirmed household chemical products, you can introduce them as Encore projects if there are no changes in documentation.
- Example) The packaging was different from when I first introduced it through funding.
In this case, Funding projectsare conducted.
- When the entire product or a part of it has been changed.
- Example 1) I changed the elastic band or accessories. I upgraded to YKK zippers or changed the material or button of the elastic band.
- Example 2) I changed the material, blending ratio, and type of yarn.
- When the design has changed and new sizes/colors have been added.
- Example 1) If only the size has been newly added to the same design of a long coat, you can run an Encore project, but if the long coat has changed to a short coat, you can run a Funding project.
- Example 2) Cases where the length of 5/8 pants changes to 7/8 length, or cases where the sleeve width becomes wider, should also be introduced as Funding projects.
- For reward items that are not clothing, if the purpose has changed and new sizes have been added, you can run a Funding project.
- Example) The mattress introduced in the previous funding has been upgraded from a Super Single size to a Queen size.
- For quasi-drugs or safety-confirmed household chemical products, if there are changes in documentation, you must introduce them as Funding projects.
- Example) If derivative registration occurs such as changing the purpose, quantity, or container, or adding fragrances, and new derivative registration is conducted, you must introduce them as Funding projects rather than Encore projects.
2. Tech & Electronics
In this case, Encore projectsare possible.
- I improved the finishof the product.
- Existing color.
In this case, Funding projectsare conducted.
- I changed materials or components and improved the product or added features.
- Example) I added heating elements to a heated vest.
- New color.
- I created a new mold.
3. Beauty
In this case, Encore projectsare possible.
- I changed the individual boxes or packaging materials.
- During previous funding, there were simple typos or errors in the labeling information. The ingredients remain the same, only the labeling information has been changed.
In this case, Funding projectsare conducted.
- A new manufacturing processhas been added.
- Example) I modified the mold. I changed or re-registered the regulated product items.
4. Food
In this case, Encore projectsare possible.
- I have previously introduced a first-harvested agricultural product through funding, and I would like to introduce a different agricultural product from the nth harvest.
- For food category rewards excluding fresh food, if only the secondary packaginghas been changed, you can introduce them as Encore projects.
- 'Secondary packaging' refers to packaging materials or boxes. 'Primary packaging' refers to bottles, containers, or quantities of food.
In this case, Funding projectsare conducted.
- I newly received a Food Item Manufacturing Report.
- The primary and secondary packaging of fresh food has been changedand the quantity or container has changed.
- For food category rewards excluding fresh food, if the primary packaging changes, you must introduce them as Funding projects.
- If the secondary packaging of fresh food has been changed, you must proceed as Funding.
5. Intangible Services
In this case, Encore projectsare possible.
- The content of the service is the same, but the delivery schedule/frequency/duration has only been changed.
- Example 1) A 6-month course enrollment changed to a 10-month enrollment, with the course curriculum remaining the same.
- Example 2) A 3-session underwater photography session changed to a 5-session, with the concept and deliverables remaining the same.
In this case, Funding projectsare conducted.
- The content of the service has changed.
- Example 1) For a 6-month course enrollment, the time period is the same, but the course curriculum has changed.
- Example 2) For a 3-session underwater photography session, the number of sessions is the same, but the concept has changed.
