- Rewards are not just products. It's a key design that makes supporters reach payments faster.
- From setting the amount to image registration, it contains the reward design method that first-time funding providers must know.
- Check out the situation-specific reward design TIP and the questions that makers frequently ask.
01. What is Rewards?
Rewards refer to products or services that are provided to the supporters who participated in the project as a token of appreciation. It's not just a product that's exchanged for money, but it means that we support the maker's project.
Why do you need it?
Supporters need some product right now, not looking for Wadiz. The Wadiz supporter's characteristic is the exploratory consumption pattern of looking for "fun projects." So even if you don't need the product right away, you can fund it if you find the rewards attractive, or if you feel the authenticity of the maker. In other words, the Wadiz story needs a process of 'convincing' rather than what is commonly said in commerce.

What a business operator should consider before designing a reward
Before I catch the characteristics of the rewards, I need to first sort out how my products/services are attractive to supporters. As a result of analyzing successful funding from Wadiz, the characteristics of rewards can be largely divided into three categories: function, material, and design. Find the category that best suits my product among these three first.
Once you have decided on a category, use the guide sentence below. First, set the advantages and differentiation points of the product/service, and then write a specific 'reason' to persuade supporters.
[Example]
1. (Function) Our product is comfortable. It's because I used a stretchy material
2. (Materials) Our products are warm. Because I used a special coating method
3. (Design) Our products are pretty. Because it's made in a pattern that suits Koreans
If you have an attractively well-organized reward, you can make supporters reach payments faster, and also increase the size of your project success.
02. How to configure rewards
1) Use single and set configurations together
When constructing rewards, I recommend designing a single configuration and a set configuration together.
A single configuration is a single or hands-on reward. It can lead to more supporters' participation by organizing it with set rewards. You may want to experience only one single product first, or you may prefer a small quantity for single or small household supporters. In addition, after experiencing the product first in a single configuration, you can induce reward funding of the set composition when conducting an encore for satisfied supporters.
The set configuration is a reward consisting of multiple products/services. In the maker studio, you can choose from ① single configuration / ② set composition method.
2) Write the reward name in this formula
The reward name is the most important information for supporters to remember the reward. It's effective if you fill it out according to the formula below.
- [Early Bird Badge] + [Brand/Product Name] + [Composition]
- [Early Bird Badge] + [Set (Package) or Product Name] + [Product Name] + [Composition]
Please use regular and accurate reward names so that supporters can find the rewards they read in the story at a glance. If you give a unique name depending on the situation, period, and capacity, if you say you make up the set, the supporters can remember it longer.
Attaching an early bird badge increases your attention. However, do not use the [Super Early Bird] benefit name before the reward name. The name of the reward is not well revealed due to overlapping information. Please emphasize the attractiveness by writing the differences in each composition such as 'maximum benefit', 'limited to 100', 'Wadiz Only', and 'launching event'.

3) Please write 5 items in the reward description
Reward descriptions are information that supporters check when they open their reward cards. Please fill out the items below without exception. Reward descriptions can be written up to 400 characters.
| Create item | example |

![]() |
If you are thinking about how to write down the reward description, it is good to refer to other projects in the category of the project you want to open. As an example, I analyzed the Top 5 words describing reward characteristics in the reward description of the 2025-2026 success project!
| Ranking | Word | Number of uses | Meaning |
| 1 | Premium | 41,789 | Highlight Advanced/Top Grade Rewards |
| 2 | Plain | 22,276 | Basic/Simple Design |
| 3 | alone | 20,977 | Wadiz Only / Exclusive |
| 4 | Recommendation | 18,465 | Maker Recommendation Configuration |
| 5 | high quality | — (Top ranks) | a quality modifier |
Success projects have been shown to have a strong tendency to position rewards as 'premium'. It also gives you a sense of trust by using the word 'recommendation' and scarcity as an expression of 'exclusive'. As mentioned earlier, we are using it to induce comparison choices with other higher configurations by specifying basic types such as 'plane' so that it can show the differences of each reward configuration well.
4) Please register the reward image to increase the conversion rate of payment
If you design rewards well, Wadiz has the ability to increase the conversion rate of payments without increasing advertising costs or creating new marketing strategies. That's the reward image.
Rewards representative images are representative images that can be registered for each option at the additional phase of rewards when creating projects in the maker studio. An image that appears with a description of the reward option on the project page viewed by supporters, which gives you a quick, at-a-glance view of the reward's composition, color, and quantity.

Analysis of Wadiz project data in May 2026 showed that projects that registered Rewards representative images had a 1.7 times higher conversion rate of funding payments than those that did not.
| a project with a representative image | a project without a representative image | |
| Rewards Click Rate | 30.9% | 23.6% |
| Funding Payment Conversion Rate | 8.2% | 4.6% |
Can't you definitely feel how much the difference in one representative image is affecting supporters' payments?
So, what image should I register? I summarized the conditions of a good reward image in the table below. Make sure to check the reward image before registering it!

03. How to set the reward amount
1) How to set the reward amount
There are two main ways to set the reward amount. Choose a strategy that suits the nature of my product.
① Cost-based pricing: It is a method of setting a price by considering the amount of money required to produce a product. We can offer price benefits to entice supporters to participate.
② Value-based pricing: It's a method of pricing based on the value you can give your supporters. If the product contains a higher value than the product's cost, the exceptional lowest price may not be effective. Communicate the value of your products and brands and set a price accordingly.
2) Please include the main rewards with high customer prices
The unit price of the main reward is over 70,000 won. If the customer unit price is too low, it is difficult to collect a high amount no matter how many supporters participate, and if the customer unit price is too high, the amount to be paid may be burdensome and you may hesitate to participate.
If you're a low-priced reward, use the 'large-capacity set' composition. It's a unit price reward by combining several single items. It is more effective if you add price benefits when configuring the set. See the average amount of rewards booked for payment in actual Wadiz success projects by category.
| Category | Average Rewards Payment Reservation Amount |
| Beauty | The average is around 130,000 won |
| Home Living | The average is in the late 120,000 won range |
| fashion miscellaneous goods | The average is around 130,000 won |
| Tech and home appliances | The average is in the mid 130,000 won range |
| Food | an average of 100,000 won |
Depending on the attractiveness and composition of the product, there may be variations. Please use it for your reference only.
04. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q. Can I modify the reward amount and option after opening?
A. Rewards amount, discount information, limited quantity, country and shipping cost, reward composition and options cannot be modified after the opening of this funding. Reward names, reward descriptions, representative images, early bird benefit badges, and new rewards can be added even after opening.
| category | Before the opening | After the opening |
| Rewards amount | Modifiable | Unable to modify |
| Options (Color, Size, etc.) | Modifiable | Unable to modify |
| Restricted quantity | Modifiable | Unable to modify |
| Reward Name / Reward Description | Modifiable | Modifiable |

Q. Can I set an early bird period to limit the payment of that option?
A. Early bird can only be limited to quantity, not period. The limited quantity is the total number of available sales for that reward, and if all of that quantity is funded, supporters can no longer choose the reward.
Q. How do I set the shipping cost?
A. If the shipping fee is free, please enter 0 won, but other than that, please enter an additional amount. If you need additional shipping costs depending on the quantity or region, please add a 'delivery fee reward'. You can also refer to the island-mountain shipping cost design guide.
