Wadiz launches 'Jinro Refrigerator' funding... 'Star Product Launch' strategy targeting fanbase continues

Wadiz is accelerating its efforts to unearth star funding products utilizing popular IP brands.
Wadiz, a life design funding platform, announced on the 25th that it will showcase ‘Jinro Toad Refrigerator,’ the second ambitious collaboration with Hite Jinro, a leading comprehensive liquor company in Korea, using the Jinro Toad IP.
The previous successful funding product from Wadiz and Hite Jinro collaboration is the ‘Jinro Dispenser.’ It is a signature star product of Wadiz, created by combining the popular brand IP, Wadiz's planning, and the maker's specialized manufacturing capabilities. It surpassed 500 million won in funding in April and then expanded to the Wadiz Store, achieving over 1 billion won in sales.
This ‘Jinro Toad Refrigerator’ is its successor, launched with summer in mind. With over 10,400 pre-notification sign-ups before opening, it achieved 100 million won in just 10 minutes after opening on the 19th, and subsequently exceeded 250 million won in funding in 3 days, drawing significant attention.
In particular, the consecutive launches of the Jinro Dispenser and Refrigerator are significant in that they mark the opening of ‘role expansion’ for Wadiz, which is moving beyond IP brand and maker IP intermediation and, based on its IP business experience and expertise, directly planning star products that fans will love and guiding makers in product development.
Wadiz has appointed ‘Gomotech,’ a refrigerator specialist manufacturer that achieved approximately 400 million won in funding on Wadiz in 2020 with the ‘Line Friends Brown/Sally Refrigerator,’ as the maker for this project, creating a structure in which the brand company, platform, and manufacturer can actively collaborate together with product planning guidance.
This ‘Jinro Toad Refrigerator’ is characterized by combining both a liquor refrigerator that allows for enjoying cold beverages with just a reach and a speaker function. It can store a wide variety of items from alcoholic beverages and side dishes to cosmetics in three separate spaces—head, body, and door room—with temperature control per section to maximize functionality. It boasts ample storage capacity for up to 27 cans of beer, 19 bottles of soju, and 19 bottles of mineral water.
Director In In-kyun of the Wadiz IP team said, “Following the dispenser, which attracted high popularity with fresh design and functionality targeting the MZ generation, this sequel is also receiving significant attention as soon as the funding opens,” and “Going forward, Wadiz's IP business will focus more on discovering popular products that can bring out the characteristics of each IP brand while satisfying fans' tastes and needs.”
Meanwhile, Wadiz's ‘Jinro Toad Refrigerator’ funding will run until August 8th on the Wadiz homepage, and can be experienced directly at the offline funding experience shop ‘Space Wadiz’ in Seongsu-dong from July 21st for approximately 3 weeks.
