[Transparency Report] June 2023 Transparency Report

Wadiz has been publishing monthly transparency reports since August 2020. A transparency report is a report that contains the content of reports submitted by Wadiz members and the results of actions taken in response to them, and is structured around funding report receipt data. Through this report, Wadiz transparently discloses actual data on how it responds to project issues, aiming to create a platform environment that members can trust and use with greater confidence.
1. Report Submission Data
- The number of reports submitted is measured based on the number of reports received through the 'Report' feature on the right side of the funding project page , and when there are multiple reports regarding a single project, they are counted multiple times according to the number of reporters.
- Report submission types include 'intellectual property infringement', 'false statements in story', 'distribution of identical products through other channels', 'community policy violation', and similar reasons that contradict the purpose of funding or undermine the Wadiz community order.
- Report submission data represents a key indicator that shows potential risks that can directly or indirectly cause supporter damage and complaints.

2. Number of Reported Projects
- 'Number of reported projects' means the number of projects that have received one or more reports, and even if multiple reports are submitted, if they target the same project, they are counted as one.
- The proportion of reported projects compared to open projects is a key indicator that represents the proportion of projects that can cause supporter damage and complaints among all projects.

3. Pre-Launch Report Rate
- 'Pre-launch' refers to a preview service that allows supporters to check the project story before the official funding launch.
The pre-launch project page provides a notification subscription feature when the official funding launches. - Reports at the pre-launch stage serve as a function to detect risks before official project launch, which enables proactive problem resolution before the official funding launch.

4. Reported Project Category Statistics
- This is category classification data of projects that received reports during the current month.
- During the current month, 13 out of 17 total project categories received reports.

5. Report Project Handling Results
- All reports that meet report requirements are subject to fact verification.
- For projects where issues are confirmed, follow-up actions are taken according to the funding report policy.
- When the Wadiz fact-checking process requires a maker's statement, we request a statement through official correspondence, and when necessary, we disclose the report facts and statement request details to supporters through news updates.

- Processing Completed
As a result of fact verification of report content that meets report requirements, it is determined to be 'problematic' based on policy and follow-up procedures such as refunding, deletion of inappropriate content, and project cancellation are conducted, or fact verification of report content that meets report requirements is conducted and determined to be 'no problem' based on policy and completed without follow-up procedures - Processing In Progress
Fact verification is in progress for report content that meets report requirements, or follow-up procedures are in progress as it is determined to be 'problematic' based on policy - Processing Not Required
Cases classified as 'reports not meeting requirements' or 'previously resolved issues', where no follow-up procedures have been conducted
⁕ Reports not meeting requirements: Report submissions that fail to meet report requirements or lack supporting evidence to back up the report content, making it difficult to proceed with follow-up procedures
⁕ Previously resolved issues: Issues that met report requirements but were already subject to fact verification in the past as of the current month, determined to be 'no issue' and closed, or issues where necessary measures have been completed through 'project cancellation' or 'refunding', making further follow-up procedures unnecessary
6. Service Monitoring Data
- Wadiz is constantly working to establish and protect a safe funding ecosystem that service users can trust.
- Service monitoring data is the number of monitoring activities and action count data being conducted by the Trust & Safety team.
- In June, a total of 2,254 monitoring activities were conducted through service monitoring, and among these, 25 cases underwent action.

- Wadiz Service Monitoring Types

⁕ Monitoring for uses beyond the intended purpose of news updates: When information unrelated to the original purpose of news updates, such as project progress, is written in news updates (such as promotions for other sales channels or link guidance), it is included in monitoring targets for uses beyond the intended purpose.
