Wadiz Hosts Record-Breaking 'Creator Festival' Online and Offline Simultaneously
- Exhibition at 'Space Wadiz' in Seoul's Seongsu-dong continues until September 3rd… Laying the foundation for revitalization of creator exhibitions
- Approximately 300 creator makers in art, goods, publishing, and more applying to participate – 'the most ever'

Riding the wave of recent growth in crowdfunding for creative fields, Wadiz is hosting its largest-ever festival for creators and supporters.
Wadiz, a life design crowdfunding platform, announced on the 24th that it will host the '2023 Creator Festival' both online and offline through September 10th. With over 100 teams of makers participating in this festival, it marks the record-breaking largest-ever scale.
In response to the recent surge in crowdfunding for creative fields—with growth of more than twofold annually since 2018 in art, publishing, and character/goods—Wadiz recruited creative field makers to participate during approximately one month in May. The event was made possible by a combination of over 30 million won in total marketing benefits including △exposure on Wadiz's major advertising channels △coupons for special exhibitions △partner service discounts, and simultaneously offering a special benefit for creators with high exhibition demand: opportunities to exhibit at 'Space Wadiz', which drew diverse participation from creators across various fields.
The 'Space Wadiz' exhibition in Seoul's Seongsu-dong will continue through September 3rd, while the online festival is scheduled to run through September 10th. With creators from all recent and emerging fields including art, illustration, goods, publishing, webtoons, IP, photography, and board games participating, it is expected to draw various fandoms.
The special festival exhibition, running from August 21st to September 3rd, operates from the B1 floor to the 2nd floor, with approximately 100 artworks on display. Visitors can experience a diverse range of works—from emerging artists' creations to products and artworks currently undergoing crowdfunding, such as board games. Supporters can view the exhibition and participate in crowdfunding, thereby supporting and backing the artists. Over the weekends of August 26th (Saturday) through 27th (Sunday) and September 2nd (Saturday) through 3rd (Sunday), a flea market featuring 9 participating creators will operate in front of Space Wadiz, where supporters can meet them in person.
Jang Min-young, the team leader at Wadiz who prepared this festival, stated, "At Wadiz, we've increasingly seen 'hundred-million-won-scale crowdfunding' not just for films and dramas, but also in the creator field for corporate-exclusive goods, e-books, and artworks," and added, "Thanks to the interest, we've prepared a festival where you can meet creators directly, and we would greatly appreciate your attention and participation."
Meanwhile, detailed information regarding the Creator Festival can be confirmed through the Wadiz homepage, and a first-come, first-served 10% discount coupon is being offered as well.
