Wadiz, Tech⋅Electronics Rapid Growth⋯“Funding to Fill Gaps Surges”
- Year-over-year Tech⋅Electronics funding opens up 141%, transaction amount up 26.7% from previous month
- Products like ‘iPhone Auto Call Recorder’, ‘Laundry Soaker’, ‘Electricity Saver’ gaining popularity with focus on core features
- Wadiz says “Tech funding focused on addressing gaps without frills is becoming mainstream”

Appliances that fill gaps rather than offer new features are becoming popular.
Lifestyle design funding platform Wadiz (CEO Shin Hyesung, www.wadiz.kr) announced that the number of tech⋅electronics funding openings increased by 141% year-over-year as of the 7th.
The transaction amount in that category rose 26.7% from the previous month, showing steady growth.
The recent growth in the tech⋅electronics sector has been led by the ‘iPhone Auto Call Recorder’, which has achieved a 89,100% funding goal achievement rate and raised over 440 million won in funding, currently ranking 1st as ‘Wadiz Best Funding’. By simply attaching it to an iPhone, automatic call recording and easy file checking are possible, and it is gaining word-of-mouth attention by addressing the inconveniences of existing iPhone users.
In addition, the ‘Laundry Soaker’ which makes laundry separation convenient unlike traditional tubs where boiling and removing laundry was inconvenient, the ‘Electricity Saver’ that helps save on electricity bills, and the ‘Smart Trash Can’ that catches germs and odors are gaining favorable response as appliances that fill the missing parts of daily life.
As prolonged economic slowdown continues, tech products focused on ‘filling gaps’ while being true to fundamentals are receiving growing attention, rather than ‘upgrading to new products’ that offer new features and experiences.
A Wadiz official said “Tech appliances that fill shortcomings without frills are popular” and “You can find various innovative products that fill the 1% gap on Wadiz”.
