Wadiz Revamps Categories… Significantly Expanding Crowdfunding Participation Areas
- Category Expansion Reflecting Segmented Supporter Preferences and Expanded Maker Crowdfunding Participation Areas
- Exploring Diversity Through Strengthened Creative Content — Films, Music, Games, Webtoons and More — Across Funding, Pre-Order, and Store
- Over 1,800 Projects Opened Monthly; Pursuing Quantitative and Qualitative Growth Through Enhanced Annual Themed Curated Events
Wadiz, the life design funding platform, announced on the 1st that it will significantly expand category classifications by field to reflect segmented supporter preferences and broaden the crowdfunding participation areas for makers. Sub-categories under the existing main categories — including ‘Tech, Home Appliances, Fashion, Beauty, Home Living, and Food’ — have been refined so that supporters can quickly browse a wider variety of projects they are interested in. Makers can choose more specialized and niche sectors within the expanded category areas, widening the scope of their challenges.
Alongside the core categories, content fields such as ▲Art ▲Character⋅Goods ▲Film⋅Music ▲Games ▲Photography ▲Comics⋅Webtoons have been placed prominently, expanding opportunities for creators to participate in funding and for supporters to show their support. Wadiz plans to continuously add diverse content, as participation in the creative sector (goods, classes, etc.) has been rising every year and supporter engagement remains high.
Through this restructuring, Wadiz plans to further broaden the tangible and intangible fields eligible for crowdfunding and provide more opportunities for makers with original ideas across diverse areas. Makers can start their challenges in expanded themes and fields, while supporters can explore projects of interest across a variety of themes and areas.
Since the second half of last year, Wadiz has been opening more than 1,800 projects per month, and starting this year has been running customized curated events with various benefits at least three times per month, focusing on the quantitative and qualitative growth of funding projects.
A Wadiz representative stated, "We have restructured the categories to align with market trends and supporter needs, making it easier to browse and take on new challenges," adding, "With the further segmentation and addition of creative fields, we look forward to seeing challenges of all sizes continuing across diverse areas."
