[Transparency Report] January 2024 Transparency Report

Wadiz has been publishing monthly transparency reports since August 2020. A transparency report is a report containing reports received from Wadiz members and the results of actions taken on themand is primarily composed of funding report reception data. Through this report, Wadiz aims to create a more trustworthy platform environment where members can use it with greater confidence by transparently disclosing actual data on how Wadiz responds to project issues.
1. Report Reception Data
- The number of reports received is measured based on reports received through the 'Report' function on the right side of the funding project page and is counted in multiples equal to the number of reporters when there are multiple reports for a single project.
- The types of reports include 'intellectual property infringement', 'false information in story', 'distribution of identical products through other channels', 'community policy violation', etc. and are composed of reasons that go against the purpose of funding or undermine the order of the Wadiz community.
- Report reception data is a key indicator showing potential risks that can directly or indirectly cause supporter damage and dissatisfaction.

2. Number of Reported Projects
- The 'number of reported projects' refers tothe number of projects that have received one or more reports, and even if multiple reports are received, it is counted as one if the subject project is the same.
- The proportion of reported projects compared to open projects isa key indicator meaning the proportion of projects among all projects that can cause supporter damage and dissatisfaction.

3. Coming Soon Report Ratio
- 'Coming Soon' refers toa pre-release service that allows supporters to preview the project story before official funding starts.
The Coming Soon project page provides notification registration functionality when official funding opens. - Reports at the Coming Soon stagefunction as early risk detection before official project opening, enabling proactive problem resolution before official funding opens.

4. Project Category Statistics for Reports
- This is category-based classification data of projects that received reports in the current month.
- In January, out of a total of 22 major project categories, 14 categories received reports.

5. Reported Project Handling Results
- All reports that meet the report requirements arebeing verified for factuality.
- For projects where issues are confirmed, follow-up actions are taken according to the funding report policy.
- During the verification process, Wadiz sends official notices requesting maker clarification when necessary, and discloses the report facts and clarification request details to supporters as news when needed.

As a result of verifying reports that meet the report requirements, cases where the determination was 'problematic' based on policy and follow-up procedures such as refund of funding, deletion of inappropriate content, or project cancellation were carried out, or cases where reports meeting the requirements were verified and the determination was 'no problem' based on policy and the case was closed without further procedures - Handling in Progress

Cases that are 'reports not meeting requirements' or 'previously concluded issues', where no follow-up procedures were conducted
⁕ Reports not meeting requirements: Reports received that do not meet report requirements or lack supporting evidence to substantiate the report content, making it difficult to proceed with follow-up procedures
⁕ Previously concluded issues: Issues that meet report requirements but have already been verified in the past as of the current month and were concluded as 'no issue', or where necessary measures such as 'project cancellation' or 'funding refund' have been completed, making further procedures unnecessary
6. Service Monitoring Data
- Wadiz is constantly striving to build and protect a safe and trustworthy funding ecosystem that service users can rely on.
- Service monitoring data is thenumber of service monitoring activities and action data conducted by the Trust & Safety Team.
- In January, a total of 2,407 monitoring activities were conducted through service monitoring, of which 179 cases had actions taken.

- Types of Wadiz Service Monitoring
⁕ Monitoring for distribution of identical products through other channels: If a reward from a funding project is sold through other channels with the same product before it is shipped, or if funding is conducted through other channels, it is included in the monitoring target for distribution of identical products through other channels.
⁕ Monitoring for uses beyond the purpose of News: If information unrelated to the original purpose of project progress (promotion of other sales channels, link guidance, etc.) is posted in News, it is included in the monitoring target for uses beyond the purpose of News.
⁕ Monitoring of funding achievement rate manipulation: If the maker or a third party with a relationship to the maker intentionally participates in funding to increase the project's funding achievement rate, it is included in the monitoring target for achievement rate abuse.
⁕ Monitoring of false information in story: If suspicions of false information in the project story are confirmed, it is included in the monitoring target for false information in story.
