Wadiz took its first step as a 'cross-border' crowdfunding platform breaking boundaries. It is fully launching exchanges between global platforms that support overseas makers' entry into the Korean market.
Wadiz announced on the 5th that it successfully held a seminar on Korean market entry strategies with 'Backer-Founder', Taiwan's largest crowdfunding consulting company and operator of the funding platform Wabay.
The event was held over two days on June 28 and 29 at the Backer-Founder headquarters in Taipei, Taiwan, with approximately 150 promising Taiwanese companies hoping to enter the Korean market in attendance.
The event was attended by So Kang-seop, CEO of Wadiz Partners, Lin Tahan, founder of Backer-Founder, and Junichi Anazawa, COO of Green Funding, who shared trends and characteristics of the crowdfunding markets in Korea, Taiwan, and Japan, success cases and prospects, and shared in-depth strategic methods for entering Asian markets.
Lin Tahan, CEO of Backer-Founder who hosted the briefing, said "Taiwan, Korea, and Japan share many similarities in consumer characteristics, trend sensitivity, and receptiveness to new things," and added "By strengthening collaboration between the three countries, we will be able to find effective methods for overseas market entry and marketing."
Shin Hye-sung, CEO of Wadiz, stated "Through this seminar, Wadiz will help Taiwanese manufacturers enter the Korean market and will leap forward as a global platform that introduces innovative products from overseas beyond the domestic market."
Meanwhile, following the successful Taiwan briefing, Wadiz held an online joint briefing and consultation with Japan's Makuake on July 3-4 over two days. Approximately 130 teams from Korean and Japanese manufacturing SMEs applied, and 20 of them were connected with distribution agencies in each country to receive consulting on global expansion.
On July 24-25, Wadiz plans to hold an online briefing targeting makers in North America and Chinese-speaking regions together with five global partners: Augen Global Commerce, Tamiris, Around X, Blancesis, and Hive Korea.
