'Health Pleasure' which allows people to enjoy managing their health while having fun has become a trend, and related products are gaining popularity on funding platforms.
Wadiz announced on the 7th that new functional food products on its food sector funding and pre-order are consecutively achieving over 100 million won in funding and gaining popularity.
According to Wadiz, food sector funding rose 132% compared to the quarterly average transaction amount during May-July this year. In the first week of August, 'over 100 million won in funding' is appearing in succession. This is due to the increased interest of younger generations in products that conveniently manage health and beauty in alignment with the health pleasure trend ahead of summer, and the easy-to-use food products.
In particular, 'Apple Cider Vinegar (Apple Cider Vinegar, apple fermented vinegar)' which highlights unique formulations and effects as its key features and is gaining popularity mainly among women in their 20s and 30s is a representative example.
Brand 'Zero Absolue' which introduced crunchy-type apple cider vinegar with its proprietary compression technology achieved 240 million won in its first funding held in May and drew great popularity. Following requests for reopening, pre-orders began on August 5th, surpassing 110 million won in a single day and ranking #1 in real-time rankings. Additionally, the funding for 'Sohui,' a clean inner beauty brand that developed organic apple cider vinegar in gummy formulation, surpassed 170 million won as of the 6th.
While there are already many apple cider vinegar products in the market, it is drawing attention mainly from customers looking for new formulations such as crunchy or gummy or unique new products.
'Calorie Reduction Powder' which reflects the needs of summer customers looking to diet healthily and is sprinkled on food succeeded in raising approximately 70 million won in funding, and 'Green Tea Shot' which manages facial puffiness raised 40 million won, exceeding the target amount by 8,000%.
A Wadiz official said, "Wadiz funding is effective in attracting customers' attention in a short period of time because it shows the unique features of new products through project stories in an impactful way," and "In the future, we will continue to introduce makers with new ideas and strong product capabilities in the food sector to our customers and expand the lineup of brands and products that can only be found on the Wadiz channel."
Meanwhile, Wadiz is promoting the growth of in-house makers through category planning exhibitions reflecting monthly trends. The food planning exhibition 'Better Food Week' covering food, desserts, functional foods, meal kits, and more will be held from August 19th to 25th.
