Wadiz, selected as FT's '2025 Asia-Pacific High-Growth Company'... "4th consecutive year of selection"
- Revenue growth rate of 75.8% from 2020 to 2023, with average annual growth rate of 20%
- Achieved cumulative transaction value of 1.3 trillion won, establishing the crowdfunding model in South Korea
Funding store platform Wadiz has been selected as one of the '2025 Asia-Pacific High-Growth Companies' by the UK Financial Times (FT). This announcement comes as Wadiz achieves the honor of being selected for the 4th consecutive year, following three consecutive years of selection from 2020 to 2022.
The FT High Growth Companies Asia-Pacific 2025, which ranks 500 high-growth companies from 14 Asia-Pacific countries, is jointly compiled by the Financial Times and Statista, a global research specialist, and released annually, marking its 7th edition this year.
This year's survey targeted companies with 2020 revenues of at least $100,000 USD and 2023 revenues of at least $1 million, with the top 500 companies selected based on revenue growth rate.
Wadiz was selected as the 45th company in the fintech sector, recording a revenue growth rate of 75.8% from 2020 to 2023 and an average annual growth rate of 20%.
Starting with crowdfunding, Wadiz has expanded its services to distribution areas such as pre-order and store, supporting "makers" who create changes in everyday life through new challenges. The number of makers launching businesses or launching new products through Wadiz has steadily increased, successfully mediating over 80,000 cumulative projects and achieving over 1.3 trillion won in cumulative funding.
In particular, last year, the average funding amount per supporter participating in funding surpassed 130,000 won, marking a 110% increase over six years and demonstrating the platform's strong growth potential.
As the funding scale has grown rapidly in this way, the platform has achieved both solid growth and improved profitability. Following the first monthly operating profit surplus in November 2023, the second quarter achieved EBITDA profitability, and the third quarter achieved operating profit surplus.
Shin Hye-sung, CEO of Wadiz, said, "Over more than 10 years, we have built Korea's funding ecosystem where small and medium-sized enterprises can thrive and new brands can be born," and added, "So that more dreamers can create new sales and opportunities, Wadiz is now heading beyond the domestic market to overseas."
Meanwhile, Wadiz, which pioneered South Korea's crowdfunding industry, is accelerating its global expansion. With the launch of 'Wadiz Global Service' targeted for May, Wadiz is currently recruiting global funding makers. The Wadiz Global Service connects domestic makers (brands and companies) with overseas customers, helping makers and brands operating on Wadiz expand beyond the domestic market to overseas markets.
Funding makers will be able to run global projects easily and conveniently in the same way as they previously conducted funding and pre-order projects on Wadiz. Wadiz plans to release the web-based service in the first half of the year and sequentially introduce the app version.
