On crowdfunding platforms, tech and home appliance products are gaining attention particularly among early adopters. According to Wadiz, with high-performance home appliances becoming popular, funding for tech and home appliance products in January-February this year increased by 22% compared to the same period last year.
Wadiz crowdfunding platform (CEO Shin Hye-seong, www.wadiz.kr) is hosting the 'BEYOND Home Appliance·Tech' campaign in May based on strong tech funding momentum, and is recruiting participating brands until April 29.
The recruitment section covers 'home appliance tech' product categories including small appliances, healthcare devices, and digital products such as AI, and participating brands receive free marketing support including app advertising, KakaoTalk push notifications, and coupon offerings. Additionally, the platform provides up to 14 various benefits including priority listing review to facilitate successful launches.
Wadiz has many customers with 'early adopter' tendencies and shows high interest in innovative products. These customers are 'high-involvement customers' who prioritize performance and convenience, and readily make purchases even at relatively high price points. In fact, the average funding amount per participant for tech and home appliance projects has increased year by year from 120,000 won in 2023, to 140,000 won in 2024, and to 150,000 won in 2025.
Brands that have successfully raised billions of won through Wadiz continue to emerge regularly. Last year, Zeiss's 'Home Premium Beam Projector' and Shinco Korea's 'Shindailos Air Gun' each achieved cumulative funding of 1.7 billion won, and HQ's home beauty device 'ThermaSerrah' achieved cumulative funding of 2.6 billion won.
Meanwhile, brands preparing for Wadiz crowdfunding can learn success strategies through 'Wadiz School.' Lectures are provided from basic funding methods to practical know-how and various success and failure cases, serving as an essential gateway for aspiring makers.
On March 27 (Thursday), an online lecture will be held on the topic of 'How to become a tech and home appliance product that survives in the future.' The lecture will be hosted by Woo Kyung-jin, Wadiz's specialist PD for tech and home appliances who has led over 30 billion won in cumulative funding, and will share success cases and market trends. Lecture registration is available on the Wadiz homepage 'Wadiz School' section until 10 a.m. on March 27.
A Wadiz official stated, "Through this campaign, we plan to discover promising makers and actively support them from market entry to business expansion," and added, "Especially as Wadiz's tech and home appliance category continues to grow, this will be a valuable opportunity for aspiring makers to effectively promote their products and launch them successfully."
