2. Settlement Method
- All settlements are processed in Korean Won (KRW), and payments from overseas supporters are also converted and processed in Korean Won.
- Payment is deposited into your domestic bank account in Korea; payment in foreign currency or to overseas accounts is not supported.
- Settlement amounts are paid separately for domestic and overseas, and early settlement may be paid together for both domestic and overseas.
- Differences in payment amounts due to exchange rate fluctuations are reflected based on the card company's exchange rate at the time of the supporter's payment.
3. No separate foreign currency account opening or foreign exchange reporting is required.
- Since overseas supporters' payment amounts are converted to Korean Won by Wadiz and paid out, you do not need to prepare a separate foreign currency account.
- Because Wadiz receives overseas payment amounts in Korean Won through the PG provider and pays makers in Korean Won, no separate reporting obligation arises under the Foreign Exchange Transactions Act.
4. The settlement amount is fixed in Korean Won at the time of the supporter's payment, regardless of exchange rate fluctuations.
- There is no exchange rate loss in maker settlements.
- Exchange rates only affect the supporter's payment at the time of payment.
- Overseas supporters are charged based on the exchange rate at the time of payment approval, as determined by their card company.
- Therefore, there may be a difference between the amount displayed on the service and the actual amount charged to the card.
- Therefore, we recommend including a relevant notice for overseas supporters in your project story.
- ex) The payment amount for overseas supporters may vary depending on the card company's exchange rate, and the actual charged amount is determined based on the time of payment approval.
- Maker settlements are processed in Korean Won.
- Overseas supporter payments are converted to Korean Won in real time through the PG provider, and that Korean Won amount is settled to the maker.
- Early settlement and final settlement are made based on the fixed Korean Won amount, regardless of exchange rate fluctuations at the time of settlement.
