"Premium" products thrive on Wadiz despite economic downturn, enjoying successive hits
- Wadiz shows strength in premium products … 2 out of top 3 projects in Home & Living and Fashion categories are 'premium'
- 'Polygonal consumption' trend spreading … consumers choose valuable products considering quality and sustainability
- Herman Miller chairs, luxury stainless steel pans, premium denim, and more … popular despite high prices

As economic slowdown persists, impulse buying decreases, and more consumers are carefully considering various factors such as quality, sustainability, and brand philosophy.
Global market research firm Euromonitor defined this trend as 'Wiser Wallets' in their 2025 Major Global Consumer Trends Report[1], analyzing that consumers now make purchase decisions by comprehensively considering multiple aspects including durability, design, and user experience, not just price.
Wadiz (CEO Shin Hye-sung), a crowdfunding platform, announced that according to this shift in consumption patterns, the proportion of 'premium' products that put quality advancement at the forefront among this year's popular projects has increased noticeably.
In particular, in the popular categories of 'Home & Living' and 'Fashion', 2 out of the top 3 projects in terms of funding amount are premium products.
Herman Miller's 'New Aeron Full Chair', known as an advanced office chair brand, recorded 544 million won in payment amount as a single project and ranked 1st in the Home & Living category, while 'Kuza Multi-Handle Stainless Pan' using luxury stainless steel also achieved 210 million won in funding and ranked 2nd.
In the fashion field, 'Olijel Jeans' using Italian premium denim fabric succeeded in funding of 93 million won and took 3rd place, and in addition, an advanced mattress developed based on sleep research ranked 11th in the Home & Living category, and Mika's hotel-grade premium nap blanket ranked 13th in the Kids category, as various premium products were chosen by consumers.
The average funding amount per person per transaction for these Wadiz 'premium' products is approximately 180,000 won, which is about 38% higher than the overall average of 130,000 won. This means consumers are willing to open their wallets without hesitation for products with high prices but can be used for a long time and are deemed to have sufficient value.
In particular, crowdfunding is gaining great popularity among consumers who prioritize practicality and value, as the development background and story of products are clear, and through early bird benefits, it is possible to experience expensive products or services at reasonable prices.
A Wadiz official said, "Consumers who carefully make choices and select quality products when making a purchase are consistently responding to premium products," and added, "We plan to strengthen our planning so that high-quality products can be introduced through funding in various categories going forward."
