As the 'Wellness' trend emphasizing health and happiness spreads, demand for related content is growing.
The crowdfunding platform Wadiz (CEO Shin Hye-sung) announced on the 29th that the 'Video Human Anatomy Library' project exceeded 120 million won in payments just 1 hour after launch.
Before launch, 14,000 supporters had already pre-registered for notifications, generating buzz. As of the 29th, the project has achieved 200 million won in total payments.
Created by '8 Archive', a team of Spanish, Canadian, and Korean artists and writers, this library presents muscle movements through videos organized by motion type such as walking and running. Moreover, it provides detailed explanations of bone and muscle names and structures, receiving explosive support from medical professionals seeking to enhance their expertise and specialists such as yoga and pilates instructors.
The enthusiasm among supporters exploring hobbies such as drawing, video production, and exercise in depth is equally strong. Creators aiming to accurately depict human proportions and muscles, as well as supporters seeking to learn proper form and muscle usage for effective exercise, are continuously joining the funding campaign.
In response, the production team has added 30 detailed cuts across series such as face, neck, and hands exclusively for Wadiz, expanding the overall collection to over 150 variations.
Wadiz explained that the project's success stems from alignment with consumers' pursuit of healthy growth amid the wellness boom. In fact, payment amounts in wellness-related categories on the platform—including ∆Self-Development, ∆Health/Inner Beauty, ∆Home Training, and ∆Sports—increased 72% compared to the same period last year (January–May).
A Wadiz representative stated, "The 'Video Human Anatomy Library' is gaining significant popularity as practical and differentiated content for professionals as well as general consumers pursuing self-development," and added, "We will continue to discover diverse, high-quality content funding projects across various fields."
Meanwhile, Wadiz launched its global service on May 7, opening the door for K-funding. This <Video Human Anatomy Library> project has been simultaneously launched to customers in 200 countries including the United States, Canada, and Australia, with the funding campaign scheduled to run until June 27 (Friday).
