Wadiz announced on the 17th the results of its first half funding trend analysis, revealing that the books, art, and kids categories grew an average of 158% compared to the same period last year.
By category, funding amount increase rates showed books at the highest with 218%, followed by art (195%), kids (50%), and food (18%).
Notably, in the books category, the top 10 projects all succeeded in hundred-million-won funding, garnering attention. Among these, children's books accounted for 31%, showing clear linked growth with the kids category.

In the kids category, childcare and infant products funding accounted for 49% of the total. Wadiz analyzed that this growth trend aligns with the expansion of Korea's kids industry as a whole.
In fact, according to Statistics Korea, the number of newborns in April this year was approximately 20,000, an 8.7% increase compared to the same period last year. With the rebound in birth rate and the emergence of millennial-generation parents who value practicality, the kids category is emerging as a new growth driver for Wadiz.
