Wadiz (CEO Shin Hye-sung, www.wadiz.kr) has announced 2024 Chuseok gift trends centered on 'Practicality, Premium & Health'.
Based on analysis of Wadiz's 'Autumn Harvest Warehouse' event data, consumer trends clearly show a focus on △reasonable pricing △wellness-centered products △and unique premium experiences. Wadiz will showcase projects with Chuseok gift themes across various categories including food, beauty, and tech through September 17th. Particularly, the 'Early Bird' offer has gained strong support from value-conscious consumers preparing gifts in advance.
By category funding amount, Beauty led at 30%, followed by Food at 28%, and Tech·Appliances at 13%.
In the Beauty category, home beauty devices accounted for 74% of total funding. For example, 'Shalab's' introduced an exclusive Wadiz beauty device that delivers ingredients deep into the skin without needles. Through Early Bird benefits, it's offered at half the regular price, earning support from backers seeking 'reasonable premium' products.
In the Food category, wellness foods claimed the highest share at 57%. Premium traditional herbal foods particularly stood out. '100-Year Cultivated Ginseng Root' – cultivated based on 120-year-old wild ginseng DNA – exceeded 30 million won in funding just 3 days after launch, and 'Cornus Ginseng Shot,' developed by a herbalist, also surpassed 30 million won.
In the Tech & Appliances sector, the 'AI Smart Ring' is gaining attention. This product allows real-time monitoring of personal health data with just one ring, and has already exceeded 8,000 pre-notification sign-ups for its funding launch scheduled for the 12th. This reflects strong demand from health-conscious consumers.
A Wadiz representative stated, "The phenomenon of holiday spending dividing between practicality and premium is becoming increasingly clear in line with current economic conditions," and added, "Wadiz will enhance makers' product competitiveness and provide supporters with differentiated gift experiences amid these changes."
