Wadiz Strengthens Its Role as an Innovation Testbed for European Startups' Entry into Asian Markets.
Wadiz concluded a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Start2 Group (Start2 Group, CEO Klaus Karthe), a specialized global innovation startup accelerating company, and announced on the 17th that it will support global startups' entry into Korean and Asian markets.
Through this partnership, Wadiz expects to increase platform awareness among German and global startups, and to present European innovative brands and trendy products through Wadiz as a bridgehead for entering the Asian market.
Start2 Group is a global accelerator headquartered in Munich, Germany, that operates startup overseas expansion programs across Europe, the Americas, and Asia, and has collaborated with the German government and major institutions.
The purpose of this partnership is to help global startups successfully establish themselves in the market based on the expertise and networks of both companies, activate the crowdfunding ecosystem, and create mutual business opportunities.
Start2 Group will recommend global B2C and D2C startups to Wadiz and jointly host briefing sessions with Wadiz to encourage their participation in crowdfunding projects. In addition, it plans to provide insights on the global startup ecosystem and technology trends.
Wadiz will apply 'fast-track review' to startups recommended by Start2 Group, operate a marketing support program with a maximum scale of $5,000, and share market insights based on domestic and international startup data.
Particularly in the second half of this year, both companies will jointly launch an end-of-year awards program to begin full-scale testing of the Korean market for global startups. Support will be provided for German companies to launch crowdfunding projects on Wadiz, and subsequently awards will be given based on the evaluation of results. Through this, participating companies can validate their response in the Korean market and secure an initial customer base and marketing reference.
Shin Hye-sung, CEO of Wadiz, stated, "This partnership is a new starting point for global startups to create opportunities in Korean and Asian markets," and added, "We will continue to expand global partnerships to strengthen our role as a consumption market bridgehead connecting Korea, China, and Japan."
Alina Marta, Director overseeing Korea at Start2 Group, said, "Korea is emerging as a key hub of global innovation, and we will actively support more global startups to grow in the Korean market together with Wadiz."
