Do I need to submit a manuscript for intangible rewards such as e-books and content?

Intangible rewards refer to rewards with no actual tangible items, such as e-books, videos/audio, app services, and periodicals. 
At Wadiz, we have established it as a principle to require submission of manuscript files for intangible rewards to protect supporters and prevent disputes. 

Below, we have organized everything from the reasons for submitting manuscript files to important considerations, so we hope you will refer to them and open your funding and pre-orders without any issues. 

1. Why should I submit a manuscript file?

• Intangible rewards (such as e-books, videos/audio, app services, and periodicals) are different from tangible rewards in that it is difficult to verify whether actual items are provided.
• That is why Wadiz has established it as a principle to require submission of manuscript files at an equivalent level to the final reward during the project review stage for supporter protection and dispute prevention.

2. When should I submit?

• Please submit it in advance so it can be reviewed during the project review stage. 
• If submitting the entire file is not possible due to production characteristics, post-submission is available before the funding closes.
• If not submitted before the funding closes, reward delivery and advance settlement procedures may be restricted. 

3. What files should I submit?

• Before submitting your project, please upload files at an equivalent level to the final deliverable to the Maker Studio and then submit your final project. 
• The submitted manuscript file will not be used for any purpose other than review according to Wadiz's confidentiality agreement (Section 16 of the Maker Terms of Use), and will not be disclosed to third parties. 

4. Please note the following when submitting!

• Submitted files can only be accessed by the reviewer and are safely managed within the internal system.
• Please make sure to clearly indicate copyright attributions and sources.
• If the submitted materials are significantly different from the project story or infringe on copyright, the project may be rejected.

Q1. What is a manuscript file?
A. It refers to files at the same level as the actual deliverable for intangible rewards such as e-books, videos/audio, app services, and periodicals.

Q2. When should I submit?
A. In principle, you should upload it as a required document and then submit your project.
However, if submission is difficult due to production characteristics, submission of alternative materials is possible before the funding closes within the scope recognized by Wadiz.

A. Yes. Submitted materials are never used for any purpose other than review and will not be disclosed to third parties.
Wadiz safely manages submitted materials according to the Maker Terms of Use (confidentiality clause), so please feel free to submit.

Q5. What happens if I don't submit a manuscript file?
A. The manuscript file is one of the project approval requirements. If not submitted, the review may not be approved.
Also, even if post-submission is allowed after review, advance settlement and reward delivery will be restricted until the file is submitted.

Q6. It's difficult for me to submit a manuscript file. What should I do?
A. First, please upload alternative materials that can confirm the existence and suitability of the reward and then submit your project. 
For example, this may include some published materials, sample files, demonstration videos, composition plans, etc., and the specific scope of recognition will be individually informed during the review process.

Q7. Are there minimum page requirements for e-book rewards?
A. To proceed with the project, a minimum of 30 pages or more of reward content (based on e-books) is required. 
However, additional designs such as covers or templates and detailed editing details are not included in the manuscript file.
