How should I write the usage period for intangible rewards?
👉 For intangible rewards, clearly state 'until when they can be used'
so that supporters can clearly understand the usage period.
Unlike tangible rewards, intangible rewards require clear guidance on the usage period and delivery method.
Please refer to the information below and make sure to reflect it when configuring your rewards.
1. Please clearly specify the usage period for intangible rewards.
- Under Wadiz's shipping policy '3.2 Completion of Delivery', intangible rewards or rewards combining intangible and tangible items are
considered to have completed delivery when the service has actually been provided to the supporter or when the usage period has expired. - Specifying the available usage period can minimize supporter confusion in the event of a refund or dispute.
Therefore, please specify a clear usage period so that supporters can accurately understand the conditions for using the reward.
2. Please be mindful of the following when filling in the information!
- Please enter the usage period in the 'Reward Name' or 'Reward Description' field.
- All usage periods must be specified for each reward; if the periods are the same, a single unified notation is acceptable.
- Vague expressions such as "Lifetime ownership," "Permanent ownership," or "Unlimited downloads" cannot be used. Please set a realistic and feasible usage period.
3. Here are some notation examples by reward type.
- [Downloadable files (PDF, templates, etc.)] \n
- Download period: Available for download for 1 month after project ends
- [When sending a usage voucher link] \n
- Voucher usage period: December 1, 2024 – January 31, 2025
- [Live coaching / consulting / workshop] \n
- Available period: September 1, 2025 – December 1, 2027
4. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q1. Do I need to specify both the completion of delivery date and the available usage period?
A. No. You do not need to write both. Please choose and specify the one that best fits the nature of your reward.
- Sending a file by email → Specify the completion of delivery date
- Continuously provided services such as streaming, consulting, or access passes → Specify the available usage period
Q2. What should I do if it's difficult to specify an exact period?
A. In some cases, you may use a softer expression such as [Specify the download period] followed by [Personal ownership allowed after download].
However, for continuously provided services (e.g., subscriptions, streaming), a finite available usage period must be specified.
Q3. Do I need to fill in all three: the reward, the delivery method, and the available usage period?
A. When running an intangible reward campaign, the following 3 pieces of information must be provided by the maker.
- Reward
- Reward delivery method
- Available usage period
Example) Reward: Template
Reward delivery method: Email delivery
Delivery: Within 1 week after project ends
It is recommended to enter all information in the reward description field. However, if the character limit is insufficient, it is partially permitted to enter the reward and delivery method in the policy tab.
* The available usage period must be entered in the reward description field.
Q4. What should I do if it's difficult to add more information in the reward description field?
A. The reward description can be up to 400 characters. Since the available usage period for intangible rewards is a required element for project approval, it must be specified. Please simplify your wording to fit within the character limit.
