Wadiz (CEO Shin Hye-sung, www.wadiz.kr) has announced the successful completion of "Wadiz Meetup Tokyo," a funding briefing session targeting promising Japanese companies, while strengthening its role as a testbed in the global market.
Wadiz, which launched its global service in May last year, has seen its monthly active users (MAU) more than double compared to the same period of the previous year as of January 2026, with approximately 40% of all users coming from over 200 countries worldwide, including the United States, Japan, and China.
Based on this, Wadiz is establishing itself as a platform where startups and innovative brands can confirm demand from global consumers beyond Korea and secure early customers.
"Wadiz Meetup" is a program as part of Wadiz's global expansion strategy where Wadiz regularly meets startups and brands seeking to enter the global market in major cities around the world. "Wadiz Meetup Tokyo," held on the 7th of this month, was organized to introduce global market entry strategies using Wadiz crowdfunding to Japanese innovative brands.
The briefing consisted of ▲sharing Asia crowdfunding trends ▲practical strategies for entering the Korean market ▲Q&A sessions, and more. In particular, Wadiz Category Owners took the stage as speakers and shared crowdfunding trends analyzed from tens of thousands of funding data and successful global market entry strategies, earning strong response from attendees.
Additionally, Wadiz plans to hold a meetup in Shenzhen, China in the first half of this year. Following Japan, Wadiz plans to discover promising local companies and expand contact points so they can expand to the Asia and global markets through Wadiz crowdfunding.
A Wadiz official stated, "Through this briefing, we were able to confirm that Japanese innovative brands are paying attention to the Korean market and Wadiz as key distribution channels for global expansion," and "We will actively discover competitive innovative products in Asia and expand our role as a bridgehead for them to successfully establish themselves in the global market."
