Wadiz (CEO Shin Hye-seong, www.wadiz.kr) has been selected as the operating organization for the Southeastern Region track of the 'Entrepreneurship for All Project' overseen by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups. The company supports aspiring entrepreneurs in the Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam regions in establishing a stable market entry through crowdfunding.
This project operates with 'Startup through Crowdfunding' at its core. Through crowdfunding, products or services are introduced to the market first, initial demand is identified based on supporter response, and both capital and customers can be secured simultaneously. Without inventory burden, it can lead directly to production, making it particularly suitable for early-stage entrepreneurs.
To achieve this, Wadiz operates a 'Funding-Linked Specialized Track' that goes beyond simple education or mentoring, allowing beneficiary companies to conduct funding campaigns. In this process, Wadiz shares expertise accumulated through over 90,000 crowdfunding projects with entrepreneurs.
Additionally, since launching its global service in May last year, Wadiz has attracted users from 117 countries and payment activity from over 40 countries. Based on this demand, Wadiz directly connects local entrepreneurs with overseas supporters. Through this, local brands have the opportunity to expand their market beyond Korea to overseas.
Choi Dong-chul, CEO of Wadiz Impact, stated, "Wadiz is a 'Crowdfunding for All' platform that enables anyone to confirm how their ideas resonate in the market and connect this to entrepreneurial execution. We will work together to help Southeast Region entrepreneurs establish themselves in the market through crowdfunding and expand globally."
Meanwhile, Wadiz will host a 'Crowdfunding Southeastern Region Briefing Session' on May 12 (Tuesday) at 3:00 PM in the Grand Hall of the Busan Chamber of Commerce. The session will guide aspiring and early-stage entrepreneurs in the Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam regions on funding procedures and success strategies, and provide one-on-one customized consulting with Wadiz Project Directors (PD) and a crowdfunding guide for beginners.
