Wadiz (CEO Shin Hye-sung, www.wadiz.kr) announced that it is opening an office in Shenzhen and appointing a China Chief to strengthen connections with the Asia innovation ecosystem. The company plans to expand its local network and accelerate collaboration with innovative companies seeking to enter the Korean market.
Wadiz established a Shenzhen office in April of this year and appointed Martin Ziming Mo as China Chief. As China Chief, Martin will oversee sales strategy development, strategic partnership building, promising maker discovery and incubation, and will lead the overall China business operations based in Shenzhen.
Martin, the China Chief, is a cross-border business development expert who previously handled global enterprise business development and strategic partnerships at WeWork's Beijing office and has supported Asia tech brands' Korean and global market entry projects. Currently, based on local networks centered around Shenzhen and Hong Kong, he is leading promising maker discovery in the AI and tech sectors and facilitating collaboration for Korean market entry.
Wadiz has positioned Shenzhen as a strategic hub for innovative maker discovery and overseas collaboration. Since launching its global service and evolving into a platform connected with supporters from over 200 countries worldwide, 50% of overseas makers conducting funding on Wadiz have emerged as AI and tech sector companies. As Shenzhen is a region where companies in this field and manufacturing infrastructure are concentrated, Wadiz is accelerating the expansion of collaboration with Asia tech makers centered in this city.
Previously, Wadiz held a 'Korean Market Entry Funding Briefing' in the Nanshan district of Shenzhen last year targeting local companies. At that time, approximately 130 companies participated, showing strong interest in Korean market entry strategies and the use of Wadiz crowdfunding. Based on such local demand, Wadiz plans to conduct additional platform introductions and funding briefings for companies based in Shenzhen within this year.
Meanwhile, Wadiz is participating as an official global partner in the 'BEYOND EXPO,' Asia's largest technology innovation expo, being held in Macau this month. The company will operate a Wadiz pavilion at the event and expand exchanges with overseas makers and major crowdfunding platforms. Additionally, Martin, the China Chief, will participate in a panel talk session representing Wadiz, sharing insights on Asia crowdfunding market trends and global expansion strategies.
Wadiz CEO Shin Hye-sung stated, "We plan to strengthen our local-centered team to expand connections with China's innovation ecosystem, and further reinforce Wadiz's position as a hub for Asian innovative companies to enter the Korean and global markets."
