Wadiz (CEO Shin Hye-sung, www.wadiz.kr) announced that it successfully concluded the 'Crowdfunding Southeastern Region Briefing' held on the 12th at the Busan Chamber of Commerce and Industry targeting local entrepreneurs.
This briefing was part of the Southeastern Region program of the local track of the 'Entrepreneurship for All Project' organized by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, with over 200 aspiring and early-stage entrepreneurs from Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam regions attending and showing high interest. Centered on the 'Entrepreneurship Starting with Funding' strategy to help early-stage entrepreneurs verify actual demand through crowdfunding and secure initial customers, the program was structured as a practical hands-on program for expanding the local entrepreneurship ecosystem.
At the briefing, Choi Dong-chul, CEO of Wadiz Impact, and Lee Bo-ra, Category Owner at Wadiz, participated as speakers, sharing the necessity and preparation methods of crowdfunding as well as success cases. At this event, a Wadiz crowdfunding handbook for beginner entrepreneurs was also provided, along with information about the 'Entrepreneurship for All' project introduction, eligibility criteria, application methods, and benefits.
In particular, this event brought together participants from diverse age groups, from teenagers to senior entrepreneurs in their 70s who have been running businesses for a long time. Regardless of generation, there was broad interest in local entrepreneurship and early market entry, and expectations were shown for revitalizing crowdfunding in the tourism and leisure sectors reflecting the characteristics of the Southeastern Region. Additionally, voices expressing hope that these practical entrepreneurship briefing sessions would continue to expand were heard from the venue.
Following the event, one-on-one customized on-site consulting with Wadiz Project Directors (PDs) continued. Participants conducted practical consultations regarding their business ideas, target customers, and crowdfunding direction, making their project execution plans concrete.
Choi Dong-chul, CEO of Wadiz Impact, stated, "Through this briefing, we were able to confirm the high execution will of entrepreneurs in Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam regions and their passionate interest in early market entry," and added, "As a platform that helps anyone connect their ideas and potential to actual entrepreneurship execution, Wadiz will continue to support the challenges and growth of Southeastern Region makers so that they can lead to actual market results."
Meanwhile, Wadiz is operating funding-linked programs for local entrepreneurs as the operating organization of the 'Entrepreneurship for All Project' in the Southeastern Region, and plans to expand cooperation to major regions nationwide including the Central Region, Daegu-Gyeongbuk Region, and Jeolla Region by the end of the year.
