02 · Review
Moderator Review
Confirm that the product in question is a general food product not recognized as a health functional food, and review whether it could be mistaken for a health functional food or claims to have functional benefits based on the standards of the “Act on the Labeling and Advertising of Foods, etc.”
03 · Action
Request to Revise the Story
We requested revisions to expressions claiming functional benefits or efficacy, such as “body fat burning” and “increased basal metabolic rate,” and the maker has completed the revisions.
CASE 01 Detailed Case
Case of General Food Misrepresented as a Health Functional Food
This case involves general foods that have not been certified as health functional foods claiming functional benefits such as “burns fat” or “burns body fat without exercise.” Expressions that mislead consumers into believing general foods are health functional foods or that claim specific functions or efficacy may violate the “Act on the Labeling and Advertising of Foods, etc.”

CASE 02: Use of Sensational Expressions
Beauty, Sexual Wellness / Food Labeling and Advertising Act / Revised
01 · Detection
AI Monitoring
Phrases and images in the project story that could be associated with stimulation of specific body parts or sexual satisfaction were detected through AI monitoring.
02 · Review
Moderator Review
The user’s age (19 or older) has been verified, and certain expressions in the Story are reviewed against operational policies to determine if they are excessively sexual in nature.
03 · Action
Request for Story Revision
We requested revisions to certain phrases and images deemed excessively sexual, and the maker has completed the revisions.
CASE 02 Detailed Case
Case of Using Sensational Expressions
This is a case where expressions were used that directly emphasized stimulation of specific body parts or sexual satisfaction. Even for projects targeting adults aged 19 and older, expressions that evoke sexual acts or excessively emphasize sexual stimulation may be restricted under our operating policies; therefore, we took corrective action regarding the relevant expressions.

03 · This Week’s Key Issue — Cases of Misleading Claims About Medications
We are sharing cases where we took action after identifying advertising expressions that could be mistaken for pharmaceuticals or obesity treatments.
1. Use of Misleading Pharmaceutical Terminology
Report Details
A supporter reported that expressions such as “oral Wegovy,” “Wegovy alternative,” and “GLP-1” were used in a Story ad, which could lead consumers to mistakenly believe that general foods or dietary supplements are pharmaceuticals or obesity treatments, potentially violating the Act on the Labeling and Advertising of Foods, etc.
Verification Results
Upon reviewing the advertising language within the project, we confirmed that expressions were used that could lead consumers to mistake the product for a drug. Consequently, we determined that there was a potential violation of relevant laws and regulations, requested that the Story be revised, and took appropriate measures; the expressions in question have now been corrected.
