Wadiz Expands Youth Protection with AI Monitoring…Proactive Measures Against Smoking-Related Expressions and Harmful Products
- Real Cases of Measures Through AI Monitoring and Operations Disclosed…Enhanced Platform Transparency
- Bubble Product and Lighter Cases Identified, User Protection System Operated
Wadiz (CEO Shin Hye-sung, www.wadiz.kr) announced that it has taken measures against harmful expressions and products within funding projects to protect youth, and disclosed a transparency report containing actual operational cases.
Wadiz operates AI monitoring to create a trustworthy funding environment. Recently, it has been checking expressions and products that could be inappropriately exposed to youth and continuing its efforts to protect users.
Wadiz recently identified a project that configured a bubble product in a form similar to actual cigarettes and emphasized usage representation that evokes smoking.
It was determined that the project contained appearance and usage representation that evoke cigarettes, raising concerns of inappropriate perception by youth. Accordingly, Wadiz proceeded with project suspension and non-exposure measures through AI monitoring and operator review, and notified the maker of related details.
Additionally, cases of providing lighters as gifts were identified in some projects. Considering that the product could evoke smoking, Wadiz proactively reviewed it from a youth protection perspective and notified the maker of related details. Subsequently, the project took measures such as changing the gift composition.
These cases were identified through Wadiz's AI monitoring and operator review process. Wadiz publishes a transparency report every week containing cases discovered during actual operations and action details, continuing its efforts to protect users.
Heo Ji-eun, COO (Chief Operating Officer) of Wadiz, said, "Youth protection is one of the important responsibilities that a platform must continuously manage," and added, "We will continue to enhance AI monitoring and operational policies to focus on user protection and trust building, and create a funding environment that both makers and supporters can trust."
Meanwhile, the full transparency report can be found on the Wadiz Maker Center, and the report is updated weekly.
