Wadiz (CEO Shin Hye-sung, www.wadiz.kr ) is expanding its crowdfunding base by recording 7.32 million supporters in the first half of 2026. In May, the number of monthly active users (MAU) by total visitors reached 10.82 million, surpassing 10 million for the first time as of the first half of 2026. While the domestic user base is solid, the inflow of overseas supporters and makers is also expanding, establishing itself as a global crowdfunding platform that connects innovative brands and consumers at home and abroad.
In Wadiz in the first half of the year, about 5,100 makers worked on a total of 12,400 projects through funding and stores. The total number of supporters participated, including notification applications for opening to payment, support signatures, sharing, and steaming, was counted as 7.32 million. It is explained that the flow of participation unique to crowdfunding, which leads to payment and support from the stage of discovering the project, has been solid.
Overseas participation has also expanded. Funding payments occurred in a total of 25 countries based on overseas delivery destinations in the first half of the year, and Japan, the United States, and Hong Kong were the top three countries for payment. Supporters from various regions, including Asia, North America, Europe, and Oceania, participated in the Wadiz project.
Overseas manufacturers' entry into the Korean market has also increased. In the first half of the year, projects carried out by overseas makers such as China, Hong Kong, Japan, and Australia increased by about 3.4 times compared to the second half of 2025. This means that foreign innovative brands are expanding their cases of confirming the initial demand and market response of Korean consumers through Wadiz.
In the first half of the year, both overseas tech brands and domestic brands performed in various fields. The funding project of global beam projector brand XGIMI exceeded 1.1 billion won, confirming high interest in innovative products. Among domestic brands, children's educational content recorded 700 million won and projects in the health and food sectors recorded 600 million won. In addition, supporters' choices were made in various categories such as IP goods.
Crowdfunding is the starting point where supporters who want to experience new products first and makers who want to verify market potential meet, a Wadiz official said. "We will continue to strengthen global connection and growth support so that domestic and foreign brands can discover new customers and markets through Wadiz and grow to the next level."
