Qualifications required to become a Wadiz maker
Last Updated: July 21, 2026
📍 Makers Outside Korea
Makers based outside of Korea must meet certain qualifications to run a project on Wadiz. If you hold a Korean business license, you can run a Wadiz project in the same way as a Korean maker.
1. Country of Business Registration
Check the country where your business is registered. Only corporations and sole proprietors with a business registration certificate in one of the eligible countries listed below can become Wadiz makers:
- Korea
- United States
- China
- Hong Kong
- Japan
- Germany
- Singapore
- Poland
- Australia
Eligible countries will be added over time. Manufacturers outside these countries can still browse Wadiz but cannot launch a project. For makers registered outside Korea, projects operate as direct-purchase sales to the Korean and global markets.
2. Settlement Method by Country
Settlement is processed through either Stripe Connect or PingPong Payments, depending on your country of business registration.
Makers with a Chinese business license must have a PingPong Payments account to receive Wadiz settlements. With PingPong Payments, you receive settlement payments securely in USD and can conveniently withdraw them in your local currency at the exchange rate Wadiz applies at the time the final settlement is transferred. Individuals without a registered business cannot join PingPong Payments and therefore cannot run a project on Wadiz.
Makers with a business license outside of China settle through Stripe Connect. Before launching a project, your identity verification (KYC) review via Stripe Connect must be approved in Maker Studio in order to schedule and launch the project. To minimize exposure to exchange rate fluctuations, the USD amount is fixed based on the exchange rate published on the date the settlement statement is issued and is automatically transferred to your local bank account.
3. No Separate Product Certification Required
You do not need to submit separate product certification documents. Manufacturers registered outside of Korea do not need to register as a Korean business operator or mail-order business, and do not need to submit product certification documents (including KC certification) to run a project.
