Wadiz partners with three major domestic NGOs… building sustainable social contribution model linked to business
- Joint social contribution campaigns with World Vision, Save the Children, and Zion Foundation throughout the year
- Based on funding supporters with strong values pursuit… building sustainable social contribution model linked to business
- From September onwards, restructuring of funding features to activate 'individual donation and sponsorship funding'
Leading crowdfunding platform and major NGO (non-governmental organizations) are taking the lead in spreading the social impact of donation and sponsorship funding.
Wadiz, a life design crowdfunding platform, together with 'World Vision', the world's largest child sponsorship NGO, 'Save the Children', the world's first international children's rights NGO, and 'Zion Foundation', an international development cooperation NGO, held a 'partnership agreement ceremony for spreading social impact of donation and sponsorship projects' on the 18th and 25th at Wadiz's Pangyo headquarters announced.
This agreement was promoted by combining the wishes of Wadiz and each organization to activate crowdfunding projects for public benefit purposes and contribute to creating a better world through funding.
In particular, Wadiz is taking the lead with its unique advantage as a platform that connects crowdfunding projects tailored to individual interests, and going forward, it plans to build a sustainable social contribution model linked to Wadiz's unique business.
Supporters who participate in funding not only pursue economic benefits but also have a strong tendency to actively support and participate in what they empathize with. In particular, Wadiz members, with a large proportion of MZ generation, not only obtain necessary products through funding, but also participate in funding with the intention of supporting projects they prefer and empathize with.
Going forward, Wadiz plans to cooperate with three NGOs and conduct funding campaigns every other month on topics such as children, people with disabilities, women, environment, and international relief that can resonate with Wadiz supporters. The entire funding proceeds are donated, and Wadiz's marketing resources and know-how are provided to support the campaign.
Wadiz CEO Shin Hye-sung said, "Wadiz has grown by playing the role of a CSV company that creates both profits and social value through various social funding from the early stages of the service," and "We want to present differentiated donation projects to Wadiz members who actively participate in what they empathize with, and through funding, contribute to creating a world where 'right thinking grows on the basis of trust'."
Jo Myeong-hwan, chairman of World Vision who attended the agreement ceremony, said, "Together with a crowdfunding platform that can gather the power of the public pursuing the same values, we expect to create synergy in making positive influence needed in the world."
Furthermore, starting with this agreement, Wadiz will also restructure its funding features to actively support individual donation and sponsorship funding. With this restructuring, from September onwards, not only business owners but also anyone can easily open a donation and sponsorship project.
Meanwhile, Wadiz launched its in-house social contribution team 'Wadiz wa' in November last year and, starting with the successful 10 million won funding project to help single fathers' households become self-sufficient, in March this year provided additional donations of approximately 15 million won through emergency relief funding for 'Ukrainian war' and 'Gangwon-do forest fire damage'. Currently, the 'heavy rain' emergency relief funding that occurred on the 8th is ongoing.
