Wadiz activates regional funding support…‘Public Institution Cooperation Business Briefing’ Held
-Four regional crowdfunding support project briefing sessions to be held in Seongsu Seoul, Gangnam, Jung-gu Daejeon, and Centum Busan from September to October
-Exploring ways to activate entrepreneurial ecosystem through funding by cooperating with various government and public institutions
Wadiz, a life design crowdfunding platform, announced on the 1st that it will hold the ‘Wadiz-Public Institution Cooperation Business Briefing’ starting from ‘Space Wadiz’ located in Seongsu, Seoul on the 20th, and in Gangnam, Jung-gu Daejeon, and Centum Busan.
This briefing is prepared as a venue where Wadiz and government and public institutions cooperate to discuss ways to expand domestic crowdfunding support projects. Government and public institution officials will attend to discuss support projects within 2023, and afterward, plans are to implement public institution cooperation projects in earnest.
The briefing will proceed with ▲Explanation of Wadiz - Government and Public Institution Business Cooperation System ▲Announcement of Crowdfunding Support Project Strategy and Benefits ▲Networking Program, etc.
When Wadiz and public institution cooperation projects are implemented in earnest, it is expected to not only lower the entry barriers for prospective/early-stage entrepreneurs participating in public institution support projects, but also contribute to market validation and fostering of local startup ecosystem. Also, from the perspective of public institutions, it is encouraging in that they can expect a high funding success rate of the startups they support.
Starting from September 20th in Seongsu, Seoul, it will be held a total of 4 times until September 27th in Gangnam, Seoul, September 29th in Jung-gu, Daejeon, and October 7th in Centum, Busan. Government and public institution officials responsible for startup support projects who wish to attend can apply through the Wadiz website by September 14th.
Choi Dong-chul, Vice President of Wadiz, said “As domestic entrepreneurship sentiment heats up, there is a trend of many public institutions knocking on the door of Wadiz where market validation is possible through funding” and “We will cooperate with various government and public institutions to create a world where anyone can challenge through funding and contribute to activating the entrepreneurial ecosystem.”
Meanwhile, Wadiz has implemented crowdfunding support projects with Jeju Tourism Organization, Korea Electric Power Corporation, Together Making the World Association, Korea Sports Promotion Foundation, etc. this year, and has proceeded with approximately 1,700 crowdfunding projects with a total of about 60 public institutions, and the funding projects implemented through these projects have attracted over 130,000 cumulative supporters.
