Wadiz brings successful makers to Hyundai Department Store pop-up store for the first time… strengthening ‘distribution channel support’

Products that have achieved funding success and been verified by 5 million lifestyle designers are launching in department stores, a major retail channel, for the first time. Wadiz, a lifestyle design funding platform, announced it will open its first pop-up store bringing together successful makers in collaboration with Hyundai Department Store Pangyo branch for one week from December 2 to 8.
Wadiz launched the ‘Wadiz Store’ service in September of last year to support funding makers' distribution channels, allowing immediate purchase of successfully funded products. This pop-up exhibition was designed to further support small brands' offline retail expansion following the Wadiz Store launch.
This pop-up store is an experience and sales zone featuring successfully funded products, and is drawing attention as the first pop-up exhibition by a funding platform that supports brand launch and growth. A distinctive feature is that customers can experience products that were launched through crowdfunding participation and feedback. Twenty-three successful makers are participating, and 60 different beauty, design, tech and home appliance products including ‘Jin-ro Dispenser’, ‘Black Sugar Goguma’ and other ‘bestsellers’ and ‘wadiz only’ items beloved on Wadiz Funding and Store will be sold.
This event is significant in that brands starting without major capital can now acquire customers through crowdfunding, and receive support for follow-up distribution across online and offline through the store. From the perspective of successful makers, the pop-up exhibition can proceed without the resources typically required for department store displays, such as booth setup costs or sales personnel.
Wadiz has also prepared various benefits including prizes and online Wadiz coupons based on purchase amounts for customers during the event period. The event will also be held at Hyundai Department Store Mokdong branch from December 17 to 23.
A Wadiz representative stated, "We plan to continuously pursue collaboration with new channels so that more supporters can meet Wadiz's trendy and innovative products offline," and added, "We will open multiple distribution channels for Wadiz's excellent makers and provide more opportunities and challenges," expressing their aspirations.
Meanwhile, the Wadiz Store is being evaluated for opening distribution channels for small brands, as over 1,000 successfully funded makers opened over 1,600 projects within one year.
