[Transparency Report] November 2022 Transparency Report

Wadiz has been publishing a monthly transparency report since August 2020. The transparency report is a report containing the details of reports submitted by members to Wadiz and the results of the measures taken in response, centered on funding report data. Through this report, we aim to create a platform environment where members can use Wadiz with greater trust by transparently disclosing the actual data on how Wadiz responds to project issues.
1. Report Submission Data
- The number of reports received is measured based on the number of reports submitted through the 'Report' feature on the right side of the funding project page, and if there are multiple reports for a single project, each reporter is counted separately.
- Report types consist of reasons that go against the purpose of funding or undermine the Wadiz community order, such as 'intellectual property infringement,' 'false information in the story,' 'distribution of the same product through other channels,' and 'community policy violations.'
- Report submission data is a key indicator that reflects potential risks that can directly or indirectly cause supporter damage and complaints.

2. Number of Reported Projects
- 'Number of reported projects' refers to the number of projects that have received one or more reports, and even if multiple reports are received, they are counted as one if they target the same project.
- The proportion of reported projects relative to open projects is a key indicator that represents the proportion of projects among all projects that may cause supporter damage and complaints.

3. Pre-Open Report Rate
- 'Pre-Open' refers to a preview service that allows supporters to check the project story before the official funding launch.
On the Pre-Open project page, a notification sign-up feature is provided for when the funding officially opens. - Reports during the Pre-Open stage serve as an early risk detection function before the official project launch, enabling proactive problem resolution before the official funding opens.

5. Processing Results of Reported Projects
- All reports that meet the reporting requirements are verified for accuracy.
- For projects where issues are confirmed, the funding report policy will be followed for subsequent measures.
- When a maker's explanation is needed during the fact-verification process, Wadiz requests an explanation via official notice and, if necessary, discloses the reported facts and the content of the explanation request to supporters as news.
<November Reported Project Processing Results>
- Processing Complete
Cases where, following fact-verification of a report that met the reporting requirements, it was determined to be 'problematic' based on policy and subsequent procedures such as refund of funding amount, deletion of inappropriate content, or project cancellation were carried out; or cases where, following fact-verification of a report that met the reporting requirements, it was determined to be 'no problem' based on policy and closed without further procedures.- Processing In Progress
Cases where fact-verification is currently in progress for a report that met the reporting requirements, or where it was determined to be 'problematic' based on policy and subsequent procedures are currently underway.- No Processing Required
Cases classified as 'reports not meeting requirements' or 'previously closed issues,' where no subsequent procedures were carried out.⁕ Reports not meeting requirements: Reports where the reporting requirements were not met, or where there was insufficient supporting evidence for the reported content, making it difficult to proceed with subsequent procedures.
⁕ Previously closed issues: Issues where the reporting requirements were met, but fact-verification had already been completed in the past as of the current month, and they were either closed as 'no issue' or the necessary measures had been completed through 'project cancellation' or 'refund of funding amount,' making further procedures unnecessary.
6. Report Submission Cases
This month, we will introduce a report submission case related to 'Wadiz Community Policy Violations.'
Case (1)
- Report Content
A report was received stating that images of the reporter's products were posted within the project story written by the maker, and that content directly disparaging the products was included. - Processing Result
Wadiz confirmed that certain products were disparaged within the project story and immediately requested an explanation from the maker, followed by a preliminary measure to correct the story content.
Case (2)
- Report Content
A report was received stating that personal information of supporters who won a funding event was posted in the news without proper masking. - Processing Result
Wadiz confirmed a situation where the personal information of supporters who won the event could be leaked due to improper masking, and after taking preliminary measures to correct the news post, notified the maker of the corrective action and provided guidance on preventing recurrence.
7. Understanding Report Types - 'Wadiz Community Policy Violation'
'Wadiz Community Policy Violation' is a type of report that can be submitted when the Wadiz community policy has been violated.
Items prohibited under the community policy include defamation, insult, infringement of personal information, posting of other inappropriate content, and other acts contrary to the public interest. (Reference regulation: Wadiz Community Policy)

<'Community Policy Violation' Reporting Procedure>
The community policy applies to all projects and posts opened on Wadiz. Even after a project ends, this policy applies if posts related to products and services remain. Any Wadiz member can report acts that undermine community order. Wadiz may promptly review submitted reports and disclose the results of reports and actions in order to protect members using the service. Examples of inappropriate content that violates the community policy are as follows.
