Wadiz Launches Green Maker Season 3 Riding 'Meaning Out' Wave… Supporters Increase 2.7x

- Reflecting MZ Generation Values Investing in Eco-Friendly, Vegan Products… Recruiting Participating Makers Until April 21

Wadiz Takes the Lead for Three Consecutive Years in Promoting Eco-Friendly Funding for Value-Conscious Consumers.
The lifestyle design funding platform Wadiz announced the launch of 'Green Maker Season 3' ahead of the upcoming Earth Day in April and is recruiting participating makers until April 21.
Through two Green Maker campaigns in 2021, Wadiz raised approximately 3 billion won and gained support from value-conscious consumers. Last year, the number of supporters who participated in green funding represented by keywords such as eco-friendly, vegan, upcycling, recycling, eco, and additive-free reached 50,000, showing a more than 2.7x increase compared to 2019 (18,000 people) and demonstrating a clear upward trend.
The maker who raised the highest funding amount in last year's Green Maker Season 2 was 'Girls Union,' which raised approximately 200 million won from 964 supporters in 15 days through a funding campaign for a waterproof, windproof, and breathable coat made from eco-friendly PET recycled fabric.
In terms of satisfaction, a housewife maker 'Jjup,' who directly developed a reusable baby medicine bottle made from 100% platinum silicone, is a notable example. She raised approximately 56 million won from 2,247 supporters over approximately one month and achieved a maker satisfaction rating of 5.0 out of 5, earning empathy and support from many housewife supporters.
Riding the wave of green funding enthusiasm, Wadiz is providing a total of six benefits to makers participating in Season 3 this year, including support for up to 22% funding fees, promotional marketing support for supporters, and production of special Earth Day content promotion. Applications are available on the special project page within the Wadiz homepage notices, and after completing recruitment of participating makers by April 21, funding opens until April 19.
Hwang In-beom, Executive Director of Wadiz, said, "A funding platform that showcases prototypes that have not yet been released to the world is a channel that can well demonstrate the 'meaning out' trend of the MZ generation that prefers products offering superior value over brand or price," and added, "The Green Maker campaign for Season 3 will be an opportunity to practice small but meaningful value consumption that changes everyday life."
