Wadiz and Disney, a global media and entertainment company, are launching new merchandise for the first time, with all characters' IPs making a grand appearance.
Wadiz, a lifestyle design crowdfunding platform, announced on the 7th that it has completed the productization of the fourth edition of Fanmakers Disney special in collaboration with The Walt Disney Company Korea, following six months of preparation since last December, and has commenced the themed showcase.
Disney, beloved worldwide, is collaborating with a D2C platform for the first time to use diverse characters from Disney and Pixar rather than just a single character. The products showcased now give Disney IP a new life with innovative product ideas, available exclusively at Wadiz.
A total of 50 maker teams have been selected for this Fanmakers Disney special, and following the first launch showcase, various product categories will be unveiled sequentially in the second half. The number of pre-notification sign-ups that began on June 8th has reached approximately 15,000, receiving high interest from domestic Disney fans.
In particular, this Fanmakers Disney special is characterized by comprising a total of 13 projects spanning fashion, beauty, home living, and tech appliances that will diversely enhance the pleasures of everyday life. Featuring distinctive designs utilizing Disney characters loved worldwide along with high practicality to be used throughout daily life.
A haptic cushion by BitsGear that provides 4DX cinema-like seating effects, pop art lenticular frames that move depending on viewing angle and distance, carbon pens that write without sharpening, customizable Bluetooth remote controls, DIY mobile kits utilizing popular Disney characters such as 'Mickey Mouse', 'Winnie the Pooh', 'Cinderella', and 'The Little Mermaid', mother-of-pearl serving trays blending Korean traditional aesthetics with Disney characters, and jelly-type cleansing slime—products that stand out with remarkable functionality and product excellence, combined with distinctive personality and fun.

Meanwhile, the Fanmakers Disney special has garnered high attention, surpassing 100 million won just 40 minutes after opening on June 27th, and will continue on the Wadiz website through mid-July.
