series.
Don't forget to bring these!
- We’ve summarized every step needed to prepare for your funding campaign, from setting up your rewards to submitting your project.
- You’ll need just one hour to get your funding campaign ready.
- We’ve also included answers to frequently asked questions.
1. Rewards

First and foremost, you’ll need rewards to show your appreciation to the supporters who provide funding for your project. These could be physical products like laptops or cosmetics, services such as hotel stays or concert tickets, or content like books or albums . However, you cannot run a project on wadiz using Rewards that are currently being sold on other online stores or have been offered on other crowdfunding platforms. Please remember that your project can only befunded if the product, service, or content is being unveiled for the first time on wadiz.
2. Goal
Next, try to specify what you, as the maker, hope to achieve through funding. This can generally be broken down into the following four categories.
First, acquiring early adopters
On wadiz, where you can introduce products or services that have never existed before, you can meet supporters who back the maker's vision. People are eager to try new products, but they’re often hesitant to pay for them right away because they don’t yet trust the product. On wadiz, you’ll find “supporters”—truly reliable early adopters. Unlike paid testers, they don’t just offer praise; they also provide sharp insights on areas for improvement. Through this process, the maker and supporters work together to bring the project to fruition. It will even inspire you to dream of reaching 10,000 or 100,000 supporters.

| Second, Securing Mass Production Funding and Establishing a Production Plan
Before mass-producing a product, how many companies can secure interest-free loans ranging from tens of millions to hundreds of millions of won based solely on a sample or an idea? In other words, when supporters who are willing to pay for Rewards come together, you can determine how many people want how many products. This helps you figure out exactly how many products to produce, and we can even secure the funding needed for mass production. Bringing a single product to market involves a great deal of expense and deliberation. Even creating a single sample requires a lot of effort, and mass production costs present yet another hurdle.
Even if you manage to secure the funds for mass production, it’s hard to gauge exactly how many units to produce. This is because it’s difficult to predict in the early stages how much you can handle in terms of sales, inventory, and warehouse-related costs. In such cases, you have to decide whether to produce only the MOQ (minimum order quantity) or increase the quantity to slightly lower the production cost. At this crossroads, funding can be a huge help in determining how much to produce.

| Third, Securing Revenue and Profits
Crowdfunding isn’t easy, and it’s very difficult for early-stage makers to raise large amounts of funding. Nevertheless, many makers view wadiz funding as a key channel for generating initial revenue and profit because it allows them to attract a lot of attention in a short period of time. When you want to launch a brand-new product that doesn’t exist anywhere else and generate 10 million won in monthly sales, it’s rare for anyone to achieve this easily on a typical online commerce platform—which is a red ocean. However, if you run a funding campaign that conveys authenticity using the maker’s development motivation and Story as your weapons, your chances of success increase significantly. If you can raise more funding than expected, you’ll not only reap the benefits of increased publicity but also stand to make a profit.

| Fourth, Gauging Market Response
Funding allows you to gauge the market’s reaction to the maker’s product. You can determine whether the core target audience you defined actually responded to the product. On wadiz, you can access data such as funding acquisition channels, funding information by acquisition path, behavioral data by path (number of visitors, conversion rate), and the proportion of traffic by gender and age group.

If the maker has successfully reached their intended target audience, they can proceed with marketing as planned and further highlight the product’s strengths. Alternatively, if they have not reached their target audience, they can make adjustments such as redefining their target audience or repositioning the product’s strengths. This is because the product’s strengths as perceived by the maker may not align with those seen by supporters. For early-stage brands or products in particular, it’s crucial to identify your core target audience and gauge market response.
2. Funding Goal

Once you’ve decided which rewards to offer for your project, the next step is to set your funding goal. The project is considered successful—and you can send rewards to supporting supporters—only if you reach 100% of your funding goal. If you fail to reach the funding goal, you will not be able to receive the funds raised. This is true even if you fall just 1% short and reach 99% of the goal. Conversely, if you successfully reach your funding goal, you must ship the rewards no matter what. This is why you must set your funding goal by taking into account all the costs required to produce, prepare, and ship the Rewards. For your reference, the minimum funding goal you can set is 50만 원, and the maximum is 1억 원.
3. Campaign Schedule

You can’t keep the funding campaign open 365 days a year just to reach 100% of your funding goal. You must set the project duration to a maximum of 60 days, taking into account the Rewards production schedule. You’ll also need to set the shipping period in advance for supporters who will be waiting anxiously after the funding ends. The exact date doesn’t have to be specified, but you should indicate a timeframe, such as “early/mid/late [Month].” If there’s a possibility that the previously announced shipping period might be delayed, you can select the maximum potential delay in the [Estimated Shipping Delay Period] section. Here’s a helpful tip: When manufacturing a product for the first time, there’s a high probability of encountering issues, big or small. It’s best to allow plenty of time for shipping to prepare for any unforeseen circumstances.
4. Launching Soon

It’s also a good idea to use the “Launching Soon” service to give supporters a sneak peek before officially launching the funding campaign. Supporters who sign up for notifications will receive an alert via social media when the project launches. Although a small fee applies, many makers choose this service because it helps boost the funding rate early in the project’s launch. We recommend running the “Launching Soon” feature for about two weeks before the main funding campaign begins.
5. Review Documents
You must prepare the essential documents required not only for funding through wadiz but also for distributing and selling your products online. Failure to submit these required documents will make it difficult to publish your project, so this is one of the most important steps you must take care of. You can check the required documents and guidelines based on your Rewards here.
