1. How do you promote your project?
After pouring your passion into developing a product for a long time and investing time and effort to craft a compelling Story, the day finally arrives when you launch your project. You probably expected everyone to show interest in your product, but many makers have likely felt frustrated by results that fell short of expectations.

For makers who find promoting their projects challenging, we’ve prepared strategic tips to help you promote your project without breaking the bank. Let’s take a closer look at how to maximize the effectiveness of methods you may already know and tailor your promotional strategy specifically to your project.
2. I’m already busy preparing my project—do I really have to organize an event too?
Events attract supporters the easiest and fastest wayto catch the eye of passing supporters. On wadiz, dozens of projects are launched every day, and over 1,000 are launched every month. To make supporters pause and take notice—even for a moment—amidst this sea of projects, you need a hook like “three chicken wings.”
Which restaurant would you order from?
For those who understand intellectually why events are good but aren’t quite convinced yet, here are three key reasons why events are essential.
First, events are fair.
Every maker is given and can be utilized in countless ways. Unlike paid advertising, there are no costs associated with designing and running the event itself. This means even makers with limited promotional and marketing budgets can see results.
Second, events are efficient.
Since your project is directly exposed to wadiz platform users—that is, supporters—the participation rate can be higher than when running an event for an unspecified general audience. When promoting to people who are completely unfamiliar with wadiz, you must overcome various barriers to understanding and engagement, from explaining crowdfunding itself to signing up for an account, event benefits, and the advantages of Rewards. In contrast, wadiz supporters already familiar with funding and pre-orders as supportersand tend to participate relatively easily.
In particular, if an event attracts significant interest from supporters, there’s a chance. Having your project featured on the homepage can attract more supporters without the need for paid advertising.
If participating in an event sparks a lively discussion with multiple comments in the Community, your project is more likely to be featured on the main page.
Third, events are also beneficial for makers.
The benefits of an event aren’t limited to supporters. By leveraging event incentives, you can encourage supporters to take the actions the maker wants them to.
This can lead to many positive outcomes, such as increasing your funding rate, gathering necessary data and comments, boosting positive reviews, and driving traffic to your next project.
3. Will people be interested in the event I create?
If you’re worried about low participation rates, just keep these three points in mind.
First, who is the event for?
The first requirement for an effective event is identifying your target supporters. The event’s target audience should consist of supporters who are likely to want your Rewards, or those you’d like to have a chance to use them. Therefore, you need to clearly understand who your project’s supporters are.

In this case, it’s better to define your target audience within a more specific range rather than “everyone, regardless of age or gender.” Of course, your rewards may be helpful and useful to anyone, but supporters feel a stronger sense of empathy and belonging when you target a narrower group—such as “office workers who work late,” “camping enthusiasts,” or “picky eaters”—rather than “the general public.”

If you’re unsure who your target supporters are, try looking for them this way.
- Make a list of the key features of the Rewards you’re preparing.
- Group the unique selling points of your Rewards and think about why they’re great and who would benefit from them. .
- Think about which group of supporters is most likely to respond enthusiastically to your project. If there’s someone around you to whom you’d like to recommend the Rewards, take a moment to carefully consider who that person might be.

Second, Are the Event Benefits Attractive?
Once you’ve identified the target supporters for your Rewards, create benefitsthat will appeal to them.
When selecting event perks, it’s best to choose options that won’t be a burden from the maker’s perspective, taking into account the cost of the service or product being offered, as well as shipping fees. In particular, if you offer event gifts that your target supporters will respond to enthusiastically, you can achieve more meaningful results. After all, some supporters participate in the project specifically to receive event gifts, and many others use the event to try out the product in advance before making a decision.

Examples of Event Perks
- Items that can be used with the main Rewards (e.g., tumbler → reusable straw)
- Gifts related to other key interests of your target supporters (e.g., children’s clothing → amusement park discount tickets)
- For rewards where quantity is important, offer additional quantities as a promotional perk (e.g., 6-month protein bar set → add 1 extra month for a total of 7 months)
Third, Is the Event Content Appealing?
Once the event’s target audience and rewards have been determined, you should create compelling event content and “post” it in the Stories or News section.
Instead of simply describing the event in text, it’s better to use images so that the benefits are conveyed visually and powerfully.
4. Essential Information to Include in the Event
There are certain details you must include when introducing an event. Since people’s attention is focused on the benefits offered, ambiguous details or terms can lead to a significant increase in inquiries from supporters. Please review the information below carefully and make sure to include it thoroughly in your Story.
