Be sure to bring this!
- The project story is one of the most important elements when running a project on wadiz
- We’ll guide you on what story type is best suited toyour project’s purpose,
- and what you need to prepare basedon that type of Story.
Why are you launching this project?
You might want to build your brand power (influence) or share your story with people. Or perhaps you want to introduce a product currently sold elsewhere on wadiz, or conversely, launch a product on wadiz that has never been sold anywhere else.
- Take some time to think about why you’re launching your project, then take the type test.
- We’ll help you identify which of the four main story types best suits your project.

a. Fandom-Based Projects to Showcase Brand Power
This applies to projects where you’re preparing to further boost your brand’s influence by launching a project for a product or service that already has a strong fanbase or a solid track record of positive reviews. Alternatively, if your project is for a brand that’s instantly recognizable just by its name, it can be classified as a “Fandom-Type” project. Take a look at the worksheet and try writing your Fandom-Type Story.
b. The “Empathy-Driven” Approach: Drawing Attention to Your Story
This type is for those who want to share their personal story through the project while making a positive social impact, and who hope that the process of creating the Rewards or the reasons behind the project will receive more attention than the Rewards themselves. Take a look at the worksheet and try writing an empathy-based Story.
c. The “Special Benefits” Type: Encouraging Pre-orders
This applies if you’ve prepared special benefits available exclusively on wadiz. Since these are Rewards that supporters will receive after a long wait, it’s important to start by emphasizing just how attractive these benefits are. Review the worksheet and try writing a “Emphasizing Special Benefits” Story.
d.Rewards-Focused Approach: Showcasing Your Product’s Unique Selling Points
This applies if you’re introducing a product on wadiz for the first time—one that’s never been sold elsewhere—or if you’re launching a project with a product from a new brand that’s just starting to gain traction, and you want the product’s merits themselves to take center stage rather than the maker’s story. Review the worksheet and try writing a “Rewards-Focused” story.
