How to Participate #1
Participate directly through government agencies

Makers can check the program announcements posted on each agency’s website and apply for a budget to use for their funding campaign.

In the detailed description of the support program announcement, look for check to see if there is an item labeled “Commercialization” section. Costs related to “commercialization” can be used for funding campaigns. However, please be sure to check the specific guidelines for each program regarding expense allocation.

2. Depending on the topic, scale, and purpose, startup support organizations or public institutionsmay post announcements directlyonthesesites.
   • Maker organizations in the area where you live or operate your business (e.g., Seoul Economic Promotion Agency, Chungnam Creative Economy Innovation Center, etc.)
   • Organizations related to the nature of your business(e.g., focused support for small business owners)
   • Public institutions with clear objectives(e.g., Jeju Tourism Organization, Korea Craft & Design Foundation, Comprehensive Support Center for Second-Chance Entrepreneurs, etc.)

2. When applications for support programs open, wadiz will notify you via email, LMS, and KakaoTalk. Please check in advance to ensure you haven’t blocked messages from wadiz or that they aren’t being sent to your spam folder.

Preparing for Government Support Programs

1. When

• Depending on the supporting organization, announcementsare postedperiodically from January through December. Generally, more new announcements tend to be posted early in the year rather than toward the end of the year.
• Wadiz x Partner Organization collaboration projects usuallybeginrecruiting makers around April or May. Be sure to keep an eye on wadiz Maker Center announcements and updates from wadiz during the first half of the year!
• If there’s a government support program you’d like to participate in , check the application dates from last year and the year before to prepare for this year. If it’s the same program, recruitment is likely to begin around the same time.

2. What

• Before applying, outline the purpose for whichyou intend to use the grant funds, the amount you’re seeking, and how you plan to allocate the funds, and look for a support program that perfectly aligns with your goals as a maker.
• Please prepare the basic documents and business planrequired for applying to and carrying out the program. If you’re selected to participate, you may be required to submit various supporting documents depending on how the funds are used.

• Call for Applications → Application → Selection → Program Participation & Expense Reimbursement → Final Report → Program Completion
• Since the organizing agency, process, and schedule vary depending on the type and details of the support program, be sure to check the announcements from each agency for specific details.

How to Increase Your Chances of Being Selected
How to Write a Business Plan

All information submitted in your business plan—including your commitment to the crowdfunding challenge, your level of understanding, the stage of product production (it’s best if samples are already completed!), your company’s history and revenue, and whether you’ve conducted market analysis—is comprehensively considered in the selection process.

If you thoroughly prepare a business plan and supporting documents that effectively showcase these aspects, you’ll increase your chances of being selected for the grant program.

📝What must you include when writing a business plan?

While the application process varies by program, there is one common requirement: you must submit either “photos of rewards samples or a business plan”! While you can submit an application with just product sample photos, attaching a well-crafted business plan that demonstrates your commitment to the project will significantly increase your chances of being selected.

💡 Tips for Writing a wadiz Support Program Business Plan

1. We select applicants who have adeep understanding ofwadiz and crowdfunding.

• As a maker, be sure to demonstrate that you have a solid understanding of crowdfunding and a strong commitment to carrying out the project.

2. Many support programs give priority to small business owners.

• Check in advance whether the support program gives preference to “small business owners” who hold a “Small Business Owner Confirmation Certificate.”
• If the program offers preferential treatment to small business owners, you must submit your “Small Business Owner Certification.” Please be sure to check the expiration date, as expired certifications will not be accepted.

3. Among feasibility, innovation, appeal, and popularity, feasibility isthe most important factor.

• While other criteria are certainly important, we place the highest priority on whether the project can actually be launched. No matter how innovative or impressive a product may be, it cannot undergo valid market validation if the project is not launched.

A. This refers to the portion of project costs that you, as the maker, must cover yourself when participating in a government support program. Most government support programs require a self-contribution of approximately 10–50%. Please note in advance that even if you are selected for the program, you may still be required to cover a portion of the costs.

Q. Can I sign a contract directly with wadiz? Can wadiz stamp my documents?

A. wadiz is a platform that acts as an intermediary for your maker's project; you use our services by agreeing to the Terms of Service, not by signing a contract. However, if you use additional services provided by wadiz (such as advertising or partnerships), there is a separate contract signing process, and you can use that contract as supporting documentation for your use of those additional services.
