Ravehill Maker, Which Has Successfully Raised a Cumulative 800 Million in Funding
"wadiz is a testing ground where we can gauge market potential."
"It’s great for appealing to overseas buyers because you can see results quickly"

You’ve probably heard the saying, “Time is money.” Time is truly precious to everyone, but for a bride-to-be, it’s even more valuable than gold. Rave Hill, the maker we’re introducing today, has achieved cumulative sales of over 800 million won with a bridal serumused in “Bride-to-Be Packages” at actual beauty salons.
Today, we met with Rave Hill’s Business Manager to hear the brand’s Story and get tips on successful wadiz funding campaigns.
Meet “RaveHeal,” a maker whose products are raved about for their skin-healing properties.

Hello, I’m Song Yoon-jin, the Business Manager (BM) for Rave Hill, a wadiz beauty maker. Rave Hill launched in April 2019 and is celebrating its 5th anniversary this year. We develop home aesthetic productsso that peoplecan comfortably enjoy the kind of skincare treatments typically found only at high-end spas right in their own homes . So far, we’ve launched serums, sheet masks, and facial mists. Rave Hill products are manufactured at a government-designated research institute, and we conduct thorough product testing with therapists before launch.
With 20 years of experience in the beauty industry, the “mother” of bridal serums

I’m in charge of everything related to Rave Hill products—from formulations and packaging styles to design and advertising. I’m even known as the “mother” of the Bridal Serum. Although I’ve only been working as a Business Manager for three years, I have 20 years of experience in the beauty industry as a whole. While studying in the Department of Cosmetic Arts, I was in charge of makeup for supermodel shows. Since then, I’ve continuously expanded my scope—from working as a therapist to becoming a beauty consultant, and eventually to my current role as a BM.

The first thing I did after joining as a BM was to personally test and study Rave Hill products. After all, I need to know our products well in order to explain them effectively to others and sell them successfully.
As a working mom raising three children, skincare was a challenge for me. Most moms, because of their busy schedules, tend to just apply one simple product and call it a day. But the Bridal SerumI tried was different. After using it for about a week, I noticed a difference in my skin’s brightness and hydration. I recommended the Bridal Serum to the directors of plastic surgery and dermatology clinics I’d met while working as a beauty consultant. Most of them tried it for about 3–4 days and gave feedback like, “This is nice—it’s so light,” adding, “I’ll leave this here. I’ll use it during my treatments.” Because I had come to trust the Bride Serum myself, I felt confident recommending it to people I knew.
wadiz: A platform that delivers results in a short period

I first became interested in funding after seeing a wadiz commercial in 2019. At the time, the concept of funding was unfamiliar to me, so I took my time learning about it before finally deciding to give it a try. Our Bridal Serum hasnow raised over 800 million won in cumulative funding, and we’reavailable on the wadiz Store, where we continue to engage with our supporters.
Wadiz has many advantages, but what’sparticularly appealing is the ability to achieve results quickly. This is alsogreat for appealing to global buyers. In fact, I started using wadiz with exports in mind. As a result, we’re currently exporting our products to Singapore, and we’re preparing to expand into Southeast Asia in line with the K-Beauty trend.
wadiz is a test bed for gauging market potential

There’s a minimum order quantity (MOQ) when manufacturing products. On other e-commerce platforms, it’s difficult to predict how many consumers will order our products or what level of sales we’ll achieve. However, on wadiz, we can gauge market potential by looking at the number of people who sign up for notifications. And those notifications often lead to actual funding.

Recently, we held a donation event to both increase the number of alert subscribers and do some good. Our first child has a congenital heart condition and is undergoing treatment at a hospital. Whenever we visit the hospital, we see so many sick children and children with heartbreaking stories. We wondered what we could do for these children and their parents, so we decided to link the event to our alert subscription campaign. As promised, we’ve completed the donation to an NGO. We plan to continue hosting meaningful events like this in the future.
From startup to funding!

There are many people around me who want to start their own businesses, but they all say they’re too afraid to take the first step. I understand their hesitation—I feel the same way—but if it were me, I’d just go for it first and figure out the rest later. I plan to start my own business someday, too .And I’ll definitely try funding as well.
